Default Will Holyfield come back again?

I know that he lost against SI, but before that fight he didnt do too badly. He could beat most of the heavyweights out there. I was wondering if he retired after the loss, or is he going to carry on ?

Evander holyfield is an old time great, he will still have the skills in some respects. A lot of these heavyweights are shit i admit, but Evander has the better experience etc. Same with James Toney really.

Any state that gives him a lisence to fight should be under federal investigation

holyfield being my fav fight of all time, i hope he retires. But if he choses to carry on, i will follow him and support him. He's a man whom believes in himself, loves boxing, and has alot of heart, something 90% of todays fighters know nothing (or show nothing) about.

Yes he will comeback and beat a few tomato cans and i can see him getting another title shot. Based on how bad the division is that is very possible at the moment, he should retire but he won't and in the end he will have about 14 losses on his record. And what a shame considering all the great fights he has been in. And how he has upset the odds time and time again he really is inspiring to watch such a shame to watch a great fighter lose to fighters they wouldn't have in there prime.

I really hope that the brave warrior retires but he'll be back no doubt.

Imagine if he got in the ring with David Haye - that would be a seriously dangerous position for Holyfield to be in.

Both...Here is a little inside tip....Holyfield has had to push to get licensed for his last 3 fights. (not including Sultan that was not in the US)...(why do you think his last 3 before Ibragimov have all taken place in Texas?...I assure it is not because he likes the state)

Plus...If you can not tell just by listening to the man speak it is time to hang them up you are not listening very well...

He was made to look old and very shot against Sultan...now imagine if Sultan was a big puncher?......Are you such a big fan you want to see him hurt?

This is not Evander Holyfield of the 1990's...this is an old man who has a lot of war miles on him....To support him in trying to fight the upper stratosphere of the HW division no matter how weak it is shows selfishness of just wanting to see your favorite fighter in the ring....Not want what is best for him and just appreciate all he has done over the years

I dont see him doing much now though, that was actually his last chance against SI. I think he should call it a day now...

Thing with Evander is, I don't think he'll ever quit of his own accord. As long as he can continue making match-ups and continue getting licensed, they'll have to drag him out of the ring on a stretcher. And he'll keep talking, and keep thinking if he gets one more title shot he'll be able to roll back the years one more time.

Fact is, its time for the boxing organisations, and the state boxing boards to tell him its time to quit, and show him an united front in not licensing him to go out and do more damage to himself.

And as for his advisers and his trainer...they should be less selfish and look out for Evander's wellbeing themselves.

I think he should have retired years ago, but it is Holyfields decision to make. I dont think the commission should take his licence if hes passing all the exams, as he is. If hes gets knocked out consecutively then thats a different story but he lost a decision to the "champion" so its should be up to him if he wants to continue. It is sad to me that hes still fighting and is so disillusioned about regaining the title, but hopefully he will reconsider another return to the ring cause hes had some time off to think one can hope.
