Thread: Edison Miranda V David Banks...upset?

Will Banks upset Miranda? I will always insist on saying (and it's a fact) that Miranda is extremely overrated, poor boxing skills. Will Banks have what it takes to KO or win a desicion over Miranda? What do you guys think? Predictions?

I wouldn't say that it's impossible, but highly improbable.

Keep in mind the last time Miranda overlooked his next opponent (Pavlik) in favor of talking shyt to a future one (Hopkins)

Next thing you know, he's doing it again with his next opponent (Banks) and a possible future one (Pascal)


Of course, Banks and Pavlik are nowhere near being on the same level. That's why I said IMPROBABLE, not IMPOSSIBLE.

....I would worry if Banks was slicker than he is but he's nothing special, so I feel safe in picking Miranda by KO especially at 168

I don't see it happening...With the power Banks has he isn't holding off Miranda....even if edison comes in throwing wild bombs all night he will eventually catch Banks...Miranda has power if anything...and for a guy like Banks power is enough...he isn't that slick...he lost to Peter Manfredo for goodness sake

No chance! I bet Miranda outweighs Banks by 10-15lbs in the ring.

I hope Banks shuts this loudmouth up. Banks may have come off as a prick in the contender but he's has shown to be a stand up guy in and out of the ring, besides being a narcissist.

I wouldn't be shocked if it happened. But I don't think it will. Pascal will be the next fighter to beat Miranda not Banks

Finally!!! It's been said!! If Banks could upset Miranda, then he could beat Bika, and everyone saw from the Contender that Banks doesn't have the power or stamina. He is a good boxer, but gets freight trained by Miranda after the second good connect.

Well if he fought Sailmon or Bika i think it be close but i favor Bika if they did fight. But if he faces Bute or Kessler i think Bute will out box him and Kessler will destroy him but thats what i think we will see soon enough.

Banks is a decent enough fighter but he lost to Peter Manfredo jnr who is probably his highest ranked opposition.

Miranda is a fighter who is learning all the time - stylewise he's getting more composed. He's still hittable but he is improving from the raw fighter that he started out as.

Miranda will win no doubt this fight will be about how elusive and tough Banks is.

Yep. At BEST Banks is looking at a Malinaggi vs. Cotto situation-proving that he's tougher than anyone ever thought, but still taking a hell of a beatdown. Since Miranda has such one punch KO power though, I see a middle round, maybe even early knockout though.
