Punch Power: 23 | | Can Tito Win??? I admit Tito's chances of winning may not be that big, but... Is there anything he can do for winning tonight?
Although chances are not that big on the paper, I think that Tito will need to press the fight but in a smart way, different to what he did with Winky. He has to have a solid jab in front of him and work with calm, not allowing to loose concentration when Jones starts his show. If Tito just move forward to Jones looking for a KO, I think it will be bad night for him. He needs to keep a steady pressure on Jones with a solid jab to break his defense. I know I am speaking here with the heart... And, I already started with my beers waiting for the bell to ring...

Punch Power: 62 | | Re: Can Tito Win??? Tito's chances to win are
If Roy is weight drained
or
If Tito can land one huge shot and end it.
Thats the only way Tito can win.
His only chances to win are depending on which Roy Jones shows up.

His only chances to win are depending on which Roy Jones shows up. | I agree with this. It all depends on what Jones JR has left. If he made the weight ok, and didn't grow too old since his last fight, he'll play with Tito and then have him out of there mid rounds. I don't see any gameplan Tito may have to beat Jones, he's too small, to slow, and he'll be rusty. He does have a punchers chance though, if he wins, I think it would be with one huge shot out of nowhere.

Punch Power: 281 | | Re: Can Tito Win??? Course he can win, anything can happen in boxing it just takes a punch in the right place and I think both are capable of knocking each other out cold. Tito will still have good power but he looks pretty fleshy and unfit. Roy hardly looked a picture of health either though.
If I was forced to bet I would say Roy wins via KO in round....say............five...ish

Joe Frazier is so ugly that when he cries, the tears turn around and go down the back of his head.

Roy will run like Asafa Powell & use his still extraordinary speed to win a wide UD.
Saying that, I still think this fight is a farce.

Punch Power: 10 | | Re: Can Tito Win??? I can see Roy looking flashy for all of 30 seconds then latying on the ropes and holding, it doesnt matter who is fighting him, especialy at this weight, it could be Hatton, Roy is gonna loose, be it by being outworked or just to weak and gets stopped, who knows
If Tito wins, so would Mayorga
Jones is living in a dream world now, anyone who is class and has power will batter him.
Who were his last 2 opponents...............?
Exactly!!!
The 2 fighters who could fight before them cold cocked Jones
The only thing Roy has in his favour is Trinidad is a smaller fighter but Roy aint gonna be strong here and even at middle Trinidad prooved to be a murderous puncher, taking out Joppy and Cheriffi 2 genuine world class middles who noone else could deal with like that including Hopkins.
Felix will still have too much for Jones

Punch Power: 16 | | Re: Can Tito Win??? He can win and he's got more than a punchers chance to do it. But its very hard to bet on him because of his inactivity. We all know what Jones is going to show up. The same Jones that showed up in the last two fights. Fast hands, slow feet, low punch output, too much laying on the ropes, stamina issues at the end...yes there really was only one good thing in that list, oh yeah, he still has some pop on his punch but not exactly the one punch KO power we have seen from him in his hey day.
The question is which Tito is going to show up. That is what we don't know. Tito was never that fast on his feet so there will be no suprises there. Will he have power? Well he most likely won't have the same power we are use to seeing from him but he will defenately have enough to get Jones's respect and to keep him thinking about it. Will he have the stamina to go 12 if need be? Well he never had stamina issues before but it is possible with long layoffs. Will he be accurate with his punches? Well he use to be one of the most accurate punchers of his day but he will most likely not have that pinpoint accuracy he use to have as he will be rusty and his hand speed is not what it use to be at lower weights. Not to mention Jones can be elusive when he wants to be.
It really all depends on Tito, does he have one more big fight left in him? History is against him and it is usually unforgiving to those that defy him. |

Lnding his honey punch is basically he entire plan and he'll need more than this against teh greatest ring genius of the current era .
Jones can bang too . Alot of peole think its Jones speed vs Titos punch but Tito was down regulary as a welter and Roy was strong at heavyweight . We could see Tito blown away if he starts slow again likle he used to .

Saying that, I still think this fight is a farce. | I'm not paying to watch this crap so I couldn't care less, but Roy running would be borderline disgraceful, considering he's done his best to sell this fight on account that he'll go toe to toe and try for an early KO. Any fightplan other than that makes him look like a fraud, no matter how wide a margin UD he would win.
