dont Fuck with the chuck
You would need a supercomputer to tally it up as there are so many belts out there.
Canada even has three champions that I know of.
IBF, WBC, WBO and WBA.
know the answer?

and being the ring champ can count too? I think both Hopkins and Hatton are the ring champs without holding any of the four main belts.

I'll do UK champs.
IBF LH - Clinton Woods
WBC/WBO/WBA SM- Joe Calzaghe
WBA LW - Gavin "The Rock" Rees
WBC LW - Junior "The Hitter" Witter
IBO & Ring LW - Ricky "Hitman" Hatton
WBO CRU - Enzo Maccarinelli
WBC/WBA & Ring CRU - David "Hayemaker" Haye
Some Other 'world' champs.
WBO Interim Sup Feath - Alex "Amazing" Arthur
WBU Feath - Derry "Golden Boy" Matthews
WBU Middle - Gary "The Rocket" Lockett
WBU Lightweight - Lee McAllister
WBU CRU - Mark Hobson
I doon't know if I've missed any one out
WBU is garbage and interim means he's really not the real champion. So they don't countOriginally Posted by leftylee
This is USA apologizes if i make a mistake.
Chad Dawson
Bernard Hopkins
Kelly Pavlik
Cory Spinks
Vernon Forrest
Paul Williams
Floyd Mayweather
Paul Malignaggi
Juan Diaz
Steven Luevano
This is UK.
Enzo Maccarinelli
David Haye
Joe Calzaghe
Clinton Woods
Gavin Rees
Junior Witter
USA has 10, UK has 6.
Not bad when you consider how many more US boxers there are compared to how many the UK has.
yep ive gota agree with VD, WBU dont count... Hatton is the Ring champ ICB so why aint you included him, hopkins dont hold any of the four major belts to my mind, its the IBO i think, but he is also the ring champ!
And yeh if you ratio it down to population UK has more boxers if you get me..

It's actually 13-6 since Steve Cunningham is the IBF Cruiserweight champion, David Diaz the WBC Lightweight Champion and Robert Guerrero the IBF Featherweight champion. Not surprising as the better fighters always come out the USOriginally Posted by Ice Cold Boxing
Not suprising since the US in about 4 times bigger.. you do the maths!Originally Posted by Violent Demise

Not the US fault that the UK doesn't fuck up France and take over there landOriginally Posted by gudnite vienna
I think the argument about the size of the US vs the number of champs each produces is becoming a forum cliche. But tbh, UK having six is not at all a bad showing, after a few years where we had one or two at best.Originally Posted by gudnite vienna
i would say that at this current moment in boxing the UK has the better fighters than the US if you take into consideration the size difference!
