Default Bayless in, Cortez out as ref in Pacquiao-Marquez II

    The Pacquiao Files

The Nevada commission also named Duane Ford, Jerry Roth and Dick Flaherty as judges for the rematch, billed as “Unfinished Business.”

I like Kenny... He's very attentative and strong in the ring.

I'm sure he wont be working too hard that night as I don't think they'll be much clinching and stuff like that.

He needs to carefuly watch jmm for low blows, in the first fight jmm threw many low blows to slow pac down. I think it was cortez that was too dumb to do more than warn jmm for them.

Bayless is a fine ref. I'm concern but not worried about one of the judges by the name of Dick Flaherty though.

I heard he dicked up some important fights before. He is 70 years old - capable of making major mistake by tallying points and not be aware of it.

Pac must really win by KO to avoid controversy.

How does Dick Flaherty keep getting high profile judging assignments?

He had Spinks winning 9 rounds to 3 against Taylor.

Yep, that's a common righty vs lefty recipe for head colision. JMM's forehead scar from car accident seems to be fine. He fought Juarez with it and no problem.

Jerry Roth was one of the three judges who seen Mayweather-Castillo I 115-111 for Mayweather.

those are unintensional unlike the low blows. Plus its pac that usually gets the bad end of the head collision. Eric 1, Solis and even Jmm1

So let me ge this straight.
    JMMs low blows ARE intentinal
    PACs headbutts ARE NOT intentional

    Is that correct?

I can't say intentional cause Im not jmm but those low blows look more intentional and benefitted Jmm more.

Pac doesn't purposely headbutts his oppenent, his a southpaw and orthodox and southpaw occansionally just collide heads naturally.

Theres a huge difference. Plus like I said, pac often gets the worst of the collision. its not like he throws headbutts to keep his oppenents off him. Pac has great sportsmanship, even when his being fouled he only retaliates with more punches in bunches. Fighting dirty is just not in his nature. He doesn't need it, unlike most great fighters

None of them are intentional. It's just that Pac's wild fighting style was making JMM miss some of those uppercuts and bodyshots.

I don't know about that, Jmm is a highly accurate puncher and imo where he lands is where he intended them to land.

Well I guess we will witness the diff between Joe Cortez and Kenny Bayless' ring judgement in roughly one week from now.

If Bayless starts deducting point from Marquez because of repeated low blows, then I stand corrected my friend.
