Default This is who Haye's first heavyweight should be against

    John Ruiz

Who wants to see this fight?

And his second fight should be against this guy

    David Tua

    Both would be good fights

But the first one I believe would test to see how Haye could deal at heavyweight and is a chance for him to look good, the second one however shall show the level he is at, then depending on how he wins both if he were to, then he could take a shot

I actually feel that he should fight Andrew Golota. He'd have a good chance of blowing out Golota in the first or second. But if it went longer he would have to box some and be weary of Golota's power.

He'd probably KO Golota in da 1st though.

Or a fight with Rahman like he was discussing a while back could be good. Maybe even a Calvin Brock fight or somethin. Since he's a small heavyweight like Haye will be.

AMAZING KO of that Enzo guy last night though. That was bad ass.

I might be off but How much bank & media exposure with little risk (at this point?) Do you think A Holyfield fight would make would generate across the pond.

NO,I don't want It and Holyfield should be retired but We are seeing many "Cash grab" fights now a days.

I think Hulk & Spicoli have the best choices, Golota, Holyfield or Rahman. Good name value with all those three.

I'd go with Holyfield, I really wouldn't wanna see the fight but it's a great name for Haye to have on his record!!!

He should fight Audley Harrison, Michael Sprott,Danny Williams, up to Matt Skelton.....don't you Brits think it's the greatest thing in the world to be British Champion??

Anywho....after he's the British Champion and he wants to fight heavyweights who are good on a WORLD level he should take on Juan Carlos Gomez or Alexander Dimitrenko

I think Gomez gets taken out by Virchis... if they ever get to fight.

I go for Ruiz. Ruiz taking out an impressive up and comer will put him right back into the running.

I am telling you guys something, everyone talks shit on the HW division, but it is a helluva lot easier talking about it than actually doing it.

I don't care for Ruiz (who does?) and would rather just see Haye - Wlad to get the formalities over with because that's the fight that should happen and I think will happen at some point.

I don't think he should babystep his way to the title, he's got all the momentum in the world on his side, put him in a big fight and see how he reacts to that. Ruiz, Golota or any of those other guys is just a waste of time at this point. A win over them means nothing and the way boxers get off fighting twice a year these days, I'd rather see him aim high then start at the fringes.

Maybe not Wlad right away but someone like Chagaev or even Sultan would be nice. Could you imagine how big a Wlad - Haye fight would be if Haye sparked Sultan quickly (which I think he would) after Wlad's paddy cake victory a couple weeks ago?

I agree with what your saying but a Wlad/ Haye fight would be bigger if Haye can make a name for himself in the division... beating a Golota after his last stirring appearance or a name like Holyfield just builds things up. Sparking Imbragimov would also do the trick!!! I think he should stay clear of Chagaev

He should take baby steps to the title he's a cruiserweight moving up, throw him in with Wladimer and he'll be beaten and then be in heavyweight limbo for another few years not getting a shot. Stop trying to rush someone into a big fight situation because he just had a big one. It doesn't work that way and shouldnt. Let him beat some good ranked heavyweights first. I dont like the way that things are starting to turn in boxing with who gets shots..

But you really think he should start with Ruiz? What would that prove? And the fact is Ruiz would probably drag Haye to a decision because that's what Ruiz does best.

Same thing with Tua. He would be beating the shell of a former world title challenger. Maybe if Tua does a little bit more but as of right now the fight would be just a waste of time and nothing more then a formality. Wouldn't prove anything more then a win over Tomas Bonin already has.

I wouldn't like him to fight Holyfield but that's just because that's a default answer. I don't think Holyfield should be fighting at all and I would have to eat light before watching that. Golota might not be bad because of the reason already listed, because he can make things tough as a fight goes on.

Still, I would rather him fight someone at least in the top 10. Or maybe James Toney?

I think he is going to go big and go for the names for the transition.Nice call on Toney Amat.even at this bloated so-so state right now(?) I think Toney is too sneaky and might drag Haye into some deep waters.Jump up to Heavy will be fun to watch.I can not get passed the sight of Holyfield at ringside with the whole Cruiser connection and big media title hunt by Haye
