By decade the Boricuas boxers and Mexican boxers have been leaving blood over the ring in the world....
For along time the puerto ricans and Dominicans had protagonist epic battles in the Baseball diamond. In the Basketball was against hemispheric potency of Brazil , Argentina and U.S......
Any of this rivalry although equalize in intensity and ferocious , this is an a rivalry that has a deep roots in more than 7 decade of frequently and brutal battles and always with National Pride .

This Saturday in Atlantic City 2 Tainos Boricuas (Miguel Cotto and Kermit Cintron)going defend their World Titles in WW Div. , facing to 2 Aztecas Mexican ( Alfonso Gomez and Antonio Margarito) in what looks to be in another Great Classic Sport rivalry between those Latin Country......
After of this week , going have more battles " Boricuas / Aztecas " in the next months , in 7 / Jun /08 going fight for the Championship in 122pnd. of WBO , the estimate prospect the Boricua Juanma Lopez , facing to the Mexican Ponce D`Leon and the other Boricua Champ Ivan "Iron Boy " Calderon have 4 months for prepare to face Hugo Cazares........

Wilfredo Gomez KO in the 5th round to Carlos Zarate in Oct/28/1978


This is Salvador Sanchez who spotted Wifredo Gomez record in his first defeat with a great TKO in 8th round in August 21 of 1981


This is Lupe Pintor who was K down in a battle with Wilfredo Gomez in
Dic/3/1982

Tito Trinidad who get the victory in a fight with ODLH in Sept./18/1999 , in my opinion "Oscar won that fight".....

I really don't know why you gave us your PO on Trinidad Vs De La Hoya when the others were just pictures but OK. Out of the rivalry Trinidad Vs De La Hoya was the most disappointing match up of all of them
