So this weekend was all kinds of Fucked!

My parents and sister came up from Rhode Island and CT to see me... Kind of for fathers day... So first of all the T was shut down cuz they were working on the tracks on the redline... It's normally like a 10 minute ride on the T get anywhere but it took fucking forever cuz they had above ground shuttle busing to bridge the gap in service.

To make matters worsethere was a friggin gay pride parade somewhere in the city so it was being flooded by rainbow flag wearing, assless chap mongers (JT Rocks kind)

Fuckin city turned into hell in a handbasket this weekend.

I completely agree.

I'm completely in favour of equality in all aspects of life and I firmly believe that noone should be judged, oppressed or stereotyped becaused of their sexuality, skin or spirituality.

But I also believe that as with religion, nobody has the right to force their own beliefs or feelings upon another person. Thats what I think Gay Parades are doing, It's like "In your face Hetero!"

I had friends that "came out" later... Like aftr highschool... They figured they'd get their balls busted or whatever... Sad, but it probably would have happened. Still good friends of mine. I would have gone to bat for them nomatter when they decided to come out.

They always say that gay people don't go to those parades cuz those are the sideshow gay people that show up... They make a mochary out of it.

It happens so regularly.

I've got a gay cousin, his brothers pretty much disowned him, they don't know how to speak to him or anything. Like I said earlier I'd accept my friends no matter what.

There's been a few hints from friends in my direct group as if theres a couple that no something about one of the other guys so it wouldn't shock me.

The Red Line sucks donkey balls. A few weeks ago, decided to take the T from Forrest Hills to Porter to get my hair cut and stop by my favorite guitar store. It's a beautiful day, when I'm ready to leave, I decide to walk down to Harvard and catch the train there. It's frickin 5pm and I wait 10 minutes for a train. When it gets there, they damn thing goes out of service with mechanical problems. They announce there are 2 trains behind it. I wait 10 more minutes, there is ZERO progress getting the broken train out of the way. So I gotta run up to the #1 bus and take it all the way down Mass Ave to the Orange line at rush hour. Another 30 minutes, at least. Once I hit the Orange Line, I was home in 10 minutes.

3 of the last 5 times I've taken the red line there's been some kind of problem.

I love Cambridge and Somerville, but I don't miss that fucking train. I'll take riding the Orange through the 'hood any day.
