    Default Angelo Dundee on Cotto-Margarito & Calzaghe-Jones

    Cotto vs Margarito

AD: Tremendous fight! This is going to prove to me how good Cotto is. But I don’t know if he could beat Margarito. Margarito is a tough guy that keeps coming forward.

    Calzaghe vs. Jones

AD: I like Calzaghe because he throws a lot of shots. Do you remember that Glenn Johnson fight against Jones? This is going to be the same type of fight. I think Calzaghe is a little better boxer than that guy Johnson. But, you never know, fighters make fights.
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya

The article was good, he said he found out Hagler was right handed because he asked a kid to ask for his autograph, which helped him work out a strategy for Leonard to beat him.

Not read the article but sounds like Angelo. Got to be the greatest trainer of all time IMO.

He also said Ali was the first in the gym and last to leave, that before the Holmes fight they were giving him Thyroid?? pills so that he lost a lot of weight but had no zap in the fight. He was very pragmatic and was not a hater of the modern fighters which is good to see he still appreciates modern fighters.

He also said that Spinks would beat Tyson and Camacho would beat JCC.

Great Trainers are S**t predictors otherwise they would be rich. What is your worst prediction? I thought Oscar was going to beat Mayweather.
