Thread: Enzo Calzaghe on Hopkins vs Pavlik.

Hopkins has a plan A, B, C and D. Hopkins is a different class to Pavlik. Pavlik isn't in the class of a Roy Jones or a Joe Calzaghe. I'm not sure on the round, but I know Hopkins will take him to school. Hopkins can nullify his punching power with his movement. Gary Locket said himself: 'He beat me, but he's nothing special. I know Joe would beat him.'"

Seems like Enzo is still scared of Pavlik.

It's funny that I chat with a few proffesional boxers(Legit) on my space and one of those being Gary Lockett. Gary Locket said this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like 'Bozo' is being more hopeful than not that Hopkins beats Pavlik therefore not forcing a Pavlik V Calzaghe fight!
Joe Balls will be lucky to get past RJJ let alone be worried about a future match up with Pavlik.

I found this rather boring. Enzo is just trying to build up Hopkins because Joe won a split decision that was very contraversial. If Pavlik knocks the stuffing out of him by ko , tko or a one sided draw then Joe almost has to face him other wise he will look like even a bigger coward than now after ducking Pavlik. Enzo is a f*****g idiot. I just dont care about him any more. His talk flows like crap in the sewer.

Yeah really. Is this the best they can bring. Give him Abraham , Strum , Hopkins , Kessler , Calzaghe. I think he beats them all.

I find Enzo rather boring. He looks like Splinter from the Ninja Turtles and he's just a horn blower. I could perfectly imagine him being 2 feet tall in the 1400s as the little guy who walks in front of the King in the Castle constantly shouting ALL HAIL THE KING at the top of his lungs dressed with a little trumpet. Really, he's so incredibly annoying, not just this but everything about him is just very, very annoying.

I can see where Enzo is coming from though when he says Hopkins has different plans. Pav looked pretty straight forward vs Taylor the 2nd time and Joe who has a brilliant boxing brain and workrate barely got past Hop. I think Nard may steal the fight with Pav by a bout a round or two just on experience.

If he does not, Pavlik will get into the fight, throw his usual million punches and simply outwork him. How much Pavlik lands will not matter. If you got a guy that is 4X as busy and who fights full three minute rounds, it will be hard to out point him.

Not much more, especially when it comes to meaningful punches. The reason Hopkins kept it close, was because Joe gave him a lot of respect early and Hopkins got some rounds and that knockdown in. After the 6th round, I mean Hopkins was not doing much of anything. An occasional punch and lots of posing.
