Default Screw, B-Hop Pavlik or DLH-Pacman...

Why aren't people complaining about Calzaghe-Jones Jr more?
This fight is the biggest one sided match ever, talk about JOe trying to find the easiest fight to go out on. At least Pacman is in his prime and the best fighter inthe world, and at least Hopkins has looked good against p4p fighters in his last 3 fights.

Why is Joe fighting Roy? If he thinks this will help his status, I hope people make a big enough cry for him to realize this isn't a fight that warants any respect on his part.

I honestly think RJJ is going to win this fight.

As old and rickety as he may be, he still has his timing, which will be the key to his close points win.

In years to come no-one will remember Jones was shot and Joes resume will look extra good with the name on there. Plus to the casual fan all they know is "Roy Jones - Legend" wich equals ££££....so Makes Perfect sense to Joe calzaghe.

    Money no other reason.

Plus Calzaghe has already beaten 2 hungry undefeated lions and an ultra savy Hopkins despite a career worst outing.

I`ll let Jones slip just as long as he saves room to take care of Pavlik.

I think Jones Jr. has a great shot to ruin a possible Calzaghe vs Pavlik match-up. I personally think this is a lose-lose fight for Joe.

If he wins, people will say he beat another old man right after beating Hopkins. If he loses, he lost to that old man and also a superfight with Pavlik.

... I don't want anyone on here to bitch about DLH facing Pacquaio then because that is a much closer fight than this, and it will be a way better fight.

How can anyone honestly think Jones will win? He has the most minute of chances, he is 40 years old, he hasn't won an important fight since beating Tarver when he first came back down like 5 years ago. He isn't as quick as he used to be, he doesn't hit that hard anymore, and he lost his legs, he is going to be on the ropes all night and Calzaghe is going to lambaste him until it gets stopped prematurely or Jones gets knocked around too much.

I hope to god Roy wins, he is my favorite fighter ever, and then it would set up a fight for Hopkins and him after Hopkins beats Pavlik(also Hopkins deserved the win agaisnt Calzaghe). That being said Roy-Bernard at this point in their careers is still a fight I am salivating to see, maybe even more than if they were in their primes because IMO Roy would have won relatively easily. I feel he improved more then Bernard did from their fight in 93 to the zenith of their careers, and up until that point he had way better competition, and was quite a bit naturally bigger then B-Hop.

I've said the same thing for a long time, Roy does not have the legs to win this, he will lay on the ropes and Calzaghe will flurry all night. Roy might even land the cleanest single shots of the night but he'll just get outworked. Nothing to look forward to IMO. Roy has to hurt Joe and he hasn't shown much power lately.

Not like I'm excited about Hopkins-Pavlik though either.

Im pretty sure everybody is mad at calzaghe for taking on jones in my eyes i think its because he is afraid of pavlik. Because frank warren has been with him so many years and when its time for a big challenge he fires him for tryin to make him fight pavlik, and warren never said anything about a jones fight.
