    Default David Haye at heavyweight.

Okay I was viewing Lyle's poll and therefore created this thread. I can safely argue POB's comment wich was nonsense about him not even fighting a average heavyweight (Something along thsoe lines). Yet people seem to forget before the Bonin fight everybody was saying how this fight was a risk and how Haye is chinny and if Bonin lands Haye will be sparked out. Bonin was ranked 11th by the WBC. A top, well respected organization. Not someone like the IBO, WBF etc. He had 37 wins with 1 defeat. The sole defeat came to Audley Harrison and I hate the way people criticise Bonin by just saying "He got beat by Audley". WATCH THE FIGHT and stop reading the result from boxrec. The fight was even and some said Bonin was winning before Harrison scored a premature stoppage and Harrison actually got slated for that 'win'. So Haye destroys Bonin in a round knocking him down 3 times and looking mega impressive doing it. Then all of a sudden these people and haters say Bonin was merely a bum ? Pathetic. Haye was just 10x better that a guy ranked just outside the top 10 in the HW divisoon and blew him away.

People also forget Haye won't be a cruiserweight fighting at heavy he was a heavyweight fighting at cruiser. He will be better in every department at heavyweight as he is a NATURAL HEAVYWEIGHT.

I know Haye will fight Oleg Maskaev/Rahman on November the 15th at the O2 Arena. He will then fight next February/March next year. He will then do to Klitchsko what he done to Alexander Gurov. And become undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world.

People can post and laugh, say just become I met him the other day I'm up his ass etc etc but come early next year I'll bring this thread back up and the joke will be on those people.

    That's all

David Haye has been having problems making Cruiserweight limit and supposedly round about 220's so he will have no problem at Heavyweight also being 6'3 which isn't bad height for Heavyweight..........

I also don't think David Haye's chin is that bad his loss to Carl Thompson was down to stamina problems not chin problems and David Haye has shown he has got the heart to pull through tough fights.........

His fight with Wladimir Klitschko basically is whoever lands there right hand first so i make the fight pretty even i just worry about David Haye against some of the tough Heavyweights who can take his punches and can expose his stamina problems but down to smart matchmaking he should do well at Heavyweight.

Well Lefty, as I will really not argue to much aboutthe Bonin comment as it is true and the fight was quite impressive I will say that Bonin being ranked that high was kinda like Gary Locket being mandatory... Bonin was an opponant and if you don't think so you're out of your mind. To say that Bonin was LEGITAMATLY even close to the top ten is crazy. Peter Manfrdo was once ranked 7th... C'mon now.

Lefty, you're a fan and I appreciate how you feel but understand this... Until we see him in there with Maskaev or a Rahman we are ALL speculating.

I will say I hope you are right my friend cuz I'd love to see him spark his way to a HW title I just don't see it but I've been wrong many times.

Lefty, I understand you're a big fan of Haye, I understand you really rate the Bonin fight, and I understand you fancy Haye's chances vs Wladimir.

    HOWEVER

David Haye's record IMO is a little light considering the fighters who were in the cruiserweight division.

Tomaz Bonin was 37-1 when he fought Haye and had maybe 22 some KO's vs WORTHLESS competition....and he had one GLARING loss to some guy named Audley Harrison. Bonin is the typical protected Polish fighter...Haye may as well have had Mariusz Wach on his record.

Wladimir Klitschko is 6'6 240+ and has twice as many KO's than Haye has wins and vs very big competition in stature and in record. Wlad has fought his deamons and he's the most experienced heavyweight Haye could ever step in the ring with.

I honestly hope Haye does well that way Wlad can get some respect for whipping Haye's ass....and as an added bonus it'll help the heavyweight division (hopefully)

I think Haye is exciting , but Lefty lets not get carried away with talk , lets judge Haye when he fights and beats a top 10 fighter , then we can discuss further.
