I just hope no bullshit fouls stop the fight.

strange match up IMO. Hopkins will either get stopped badly or grit it out to a very close UD either way. I cant see how this fight benefits Pavlik in the slightest though. He should have fought a named fighter at 168 or maybe gone for AA ? Hopkins is difficult fight for anybody and not rewarding for Pavlik IMO, on the grounds JC has already beaten him and the fight is at lightheavyweight, kelly should keep well away from that weight class for the time being.
I think the reason is they are trying to smoke Joe C out for a scrap - if Pavlik knocks Hopkins out or has a convincing win then his team will compare that to Joe's close win over Hopkins and say what Pavlik would do to Calzaghe. If Joe doesn't come back after Jones then I think a unification fight with AA is next
Hopkins will make it competitive but no way he has the legs or the stamina to survive 12 rounds, he had to have almost 5 minutes rest on a BS low blow from Calzaghe. And yet even after that break Hopkins still look tired and yet he fought at a very slow pace, and Calzaghe was never able to really get his workrate going either. So that is worrying for Hopkins that he was exhausted in a snail pace fight..........
So if Hopkins was puffing like the old man he is against Calzaghe who is no puncher, can you imagine how exhausted he will be under Pavlik's power punches ? Pavlik may not be as skilled as Calzaghe but he will put the pressure on for 3 minutes of every round, and he will wear out Hopkins far more effectively than Calzaghe was able to, i see Pavlik TKO Hopkins in 9 or 10.

I've said somewhere else here that i think it's going to be a battle of perception, hopkins will do his usual thing make it a rough hard to watch fight picking spots making close rounds but he will eventually realize a couple of things, one pavlik is not the greatest boxer but he's good at what he does, hits way harder than he looks like he does, and has an ok "D" Hopkins will make it look like the fight is closer than it is, get caught by a shot or two and either fight extremly conservative and pray for a decision or wake up on his stool with pavlik giving interviews and calzaghe watching at home saying "man fuck this shit" either way i see b-hop loosing to the secong "white boy" in a row. Hey but the broncos will find a way to accidently win again and that's always good.

hopkins wont be able to move like that with pavlik like he did with eastman eventually bhop will get tired and the punches dont even have to land flush if kelly just pressure him and just throws punches from all angles eventually he might be able to stop hopkins
I keep thinking Hopkins is going to win on points.
