I think this is what he wants. what's that old saying? It's better to remain untested and be thought a shit fighter, than to have a go and remove all doubt.

Hmm.. dunno about all this Froch lark.. he was lucky in the Magee fight that Magee can't break eggs. I think he NEEDED that KO.. could have easily lost on the cards.

Im not a big fan of Froch. Something tells me though that he beats Pavlik, he'll match Pavlik physically, be able to take what he's got and give it back. Would be a great fight I reckon.

Hopefully with the WBC belt (if he wins) he'll be able to land a big Pavlik-type name...

Even though i'm not a big Froch fan, I would love it (doing me best Kevin Keegan impression) if he beat Pavlik.

What happened to Hennesey/Goldenboy? I thought that was going to pave the way for big fights for Froch, maybe it will with a title to his name assuming they are still in bed together.

    lol.

Quality. Just hope he is good enough because where he has been at and where he needs to be with the likes of Kessler or Bute are worlds apart. Sort of the difference between Michael Gomez and Bredis Presscot if you know what i mean.

Pascal is a good B level test. He has needed this kind of test for a long time.

Yeah Hennesey was all harping on about him and Goldenboy.. all he's done is nearly get John Murray beat in a Mexico vs Britain promotion.. don't think anything else has come of it

well i think carl is big risk little reward for a lot of fighters thats why i think Inkin ducked him twice. But if he gets the belt and makes a strong defence fighters like Inkin, kessler and Bute will be wanting to get a piece of Carl im sure. He cant be ducked for his whole career.

Froch is definatly big risk due to him being untested and his power.

Id like to see him fight Taylor or Kessler in the newyear. My gut feeling is Mick will give him a few soft defences which at 31yo he doesnt need.

Froch is an overrated fighter. Who has he fought that is worth mentioning?

    Taylor would dominate Froch.

After the Calzaghe fight, I would argue that Kessler would dominate him, but Kessler looked sluggish in his last fight and now is fighting another tune-up fight, which makes me think that Kessler may not have been as good as people say. Or, in the alternative, Calzaghe took his heart.

Bute has a big fight with Andrade in November. Let's see how he handles this test. Kessler dominated Andrade. I like Bute beating Froch too.

A good fight for Froch would be someone of the Allen Green ilk. A fringe contender. Maybe even a Peter Manfredo, especially if Peter Manfredo beats Sakio Bika, which he is unlikely to do.

I think he should maybe see where Kessler goes, because Kessler after his JC loss is getting a few win under his belt and rightfully so. He needs to also see what Bute does or the other beltholder, unification is going to be the key to these great fights, but Carl knows that hes fighting the best hes ever fought now and hes ready for the bigger names. So if all goes to plan and he beats Pascal we will see these fights.

It does concern me that Kessler is fighting another low-ranked fighter. I hope Kessler comes back and fights Froch,Bute,Taylor,Pavlik.
