I think some are going over the top with David Haye. He has proven himself a very good cruiserweight, but there are still question marks surrounding him. Any talk of him just waltzing up to heavyweight and putting a beating on Wlad or Vitali is just fantasy talk. Haye hasnt proven he has the capability to do that yet at all. Beating Barrett will really just be a small sized step up, Barrett is old and been beaten by far better fighters. Haye doing a number on him wont tell us a great deal either.

IMO Haye has a lot going for him, but his fanatics are getting way ahead of themselves, do you guys really believe he'll land one solid right on Vitali and his legs'll buckle like Maccarinelli's then he'll go into his shell? that might happen with the vulnerable younger brother, but no chance it happens to Vitali who took Lennox's best without going down.
Some good points but that was far from Lennox's best... he was well past his prime before even the Tyson fight.
I fail to see what him being beyond his prime has to do with Vitali taking his best punches. Sure, Lennox wasn't his best, but he still had power.. and Vitali wasn't Kayod.

I don't see Haye hitting any harder than Lewis did to Vitali.
    My opinion though, of course.

Pure comical to say the least. Vitali's jaw never got tested against Peter. Besides he is 37 now and who says it is iron ? If a Hayemaker lands from Haye he would be on his ass. Just like any other heavyweight.
    ...Fanboy talk at it's best......

Vitaly has a chin unlike any other HW I have seen since David Tua in his prime.....

Vitaly would play with Haye...It would make the Sanders and Williams fights look merciful

David Haye has not even beaten Barrett yet , Lennox Lewis hit Vitali flush on many occasions , are Haye fans saying he hits harder than Lewis ?

Also we have to wait and see how Haye reacts to being hit by a puncher at HW.
At this point Vitali would easily stop Haye , this is based on the fact that he is unproven and Vitali is a known quality.
Haye beating Peter , is another bold statement , you have to remember Peter couldnt get close to Vitali , Peter would be able to hit Haye and again we do not know how he will react.

Im a fan of David Haye but he needs to develope as a HW , less talk more action.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .

If you look at the Lennox v Vitali fight it really is hard to see any way Hayes gonna beat him,Wlad is still a maybe too.
Only way he could beat Vitali would be to catch him cold in the first few minutes, whether he could is a different matter.

Agreed and the thing is he makes other fighters look sh*t as his fights are usually so one sided, his jab is a nightmare for any fighter and his chin is solid (proved in the Lewis fight).
Just a shame that bar the Lewis fight he bores the sh*t out of me

I would give Haye an outside chance to beat Vitali if he was able to box a perfect fight. He would have to make use of Vitali's below par footwork and try and break him down, tire him out and over all out box him.

The thing is i don't see how Haye can go the fight without taking a few big hits, and the way vitali hits Haye will be put to sleep. someone said about Vitali holding his hands down low, well Haye doesn't keep the high either, the diff is, Vitali can take a punch, shit he can take a bat to the chin.

Haye's only hope against Vitali is to tear into him like a loony. If he stands off or tires he'll get tagged by a right hand and that'll be all she wrote.

Haye would make a mess of Peter, thats the fight I wanted to see.

He'd have to land a huge punch early against VK!!
And people are forgetting that Haye is gonna have extra weight behind his punches.
Seems like A LOT of people are judging him purely on what they have seen of him at Cruiser,OK Bonin was no VK but Haye nearly floored him with his first jab alone

Hi jab looked top notch against Bonin and very powerfull. That jab would have beat Peter.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think he is gonna get sparked when he fights one of the big guys. If his lack of stamina and punch resistance (in his legs) was just due to being weight drained then I may be proved wrong

Don't see him even putting a dent in Vitali if they met...

#1 Monte was much younger then

#2 Wlad knocked him down 5 times

Even if Haye does spark Monte Barrett early it doesn't make Monte any bigger or any more dangerous so if you're going to compare Haye beating Monte Barrett to Haye fighting Wlad or Vitali you must be kidding. Monte is the same size as Haye, Wlad and Vitali are much bigger, much stronger, and much better all around fighters.

I've heard everyone say when Wlad is going to lose and how Wlad is going to lose and only 3 guys out of 54 have been able to beat him so far.....so Haye fans don't get so far ahead of yourselves, if Haye is looking past Monte Barrett, Monte is the type of guy who can make a fighter pay dearly for that, he caused the landslide collapse that is Domonick Guinn
