My favorite thread goes straight to boxing talk, but I had no idea people actually complain so much about me. I admittedly wind people up on purpose, but you guys take this way too personally.

yeah... its appears highly mature as well. At least it shows me, I must be doing something right on here.
Taeth I am really disappointed you didn't know until now you were Saddo's P4p gayest by popular vote.
Hmm. Well I guess you do now.
Besides if you have 1,000 posts......you can take it.

Ahh Taeth im little bit disappointed in you to be honest, i actually defended you in a couple of threads. But you just make majority of your threads to wind up people ? not cool bro IMO, i always thought you come across as a good poster although controversial which i liked. Because it means you don't follow other peoples opinions and you like being different, but you have gone down a notch in my estimation now i know that Taeth.
First of all, you're not nearly as gay as Preme. You actually know something about boxing. You've annoyed me plenty, and your strong mancrushes on a few fighters are borderline. You belong on the list, but your not #1.
Here's the problem. You have a preference for a certain type of fighting style and you get a big raging hard-on from fighters with superior athletic ability. You condecendingly dismiss fighters who don't fight in the style that is most pleasing to you. As somebody who has been reading your posts for three years, you seem to lack appreciation for the intangibles that can make a fighter better that other fighters with greater textbook skill or athletic ability. You accuse other people of being nuthuggers, but when it comes to fighters that are your favorites, you are as big a nuthugger as they come.
Perhaps you have and I misses the post, but I really never seen you be particulary openminded to other peoples ideas or analysis, and often, you are completely dismissive and surly at other peoples reasonable conclusions and opinions.
I think that's why you won the gay-off. While you are certainly a very good poster, knowledgable, and valued member of the forum, you've been around a while and in the process pissed of almost everyone, not only with your opinions, but also your self-important, arrogant tone. In way, you are doing something right, because you get people fired up and often stimulate debate, but when you treat people like they are stupid, especially people who are equally knowledgable, it's not going to make you the most well liked guy.
Personally, I hope you keep on posting just like you always have, and I'm sure you will. We need a few arrogant pricks like you and VD, at least ones who understand the sport. And I don't think people are taking too serious. They are probably trying to wind you up because you spend so much time winding up other people. It's all in good fun.
Except the stuff about Preme. He really is gay, and those of us who dislike him actually, in reality, dislike him (or at least his online persona). I wouldn't care if never posted here again because he never says anything informative or interesting. You, on the other hand, though irritating, contribute a lot to the forum.
ICB, everything I say in terms of the boxing is true, but when I start swearing and stuff that is to stir people up. I realize before I post things like the Pavlik thread that people will get mad at me, but I do it anyways because its my opinion. But I do wind some people up, but I have always respected what you post, and I have never tried to do that stuff intentionally with you. I don't post things to be controversial, it is my personality, but sometimes I will say stuff I don't mean like when I once wrote that I thought Alexis Arguello wasn't a great fighter, of course he is a great fighter, but I wanted make a point that oldies are overhyped, and I tend to do that a lot. Take what you will from this, I can't please everybody, or anyone on here. Like I said its part of my personality, I state things I believe, but sometimes I like getting a rise out of people even though I am still following my beliefs.
That is my persona on here, I find it frustrating that I put so much time into learning the sport and still have ignorant people arguing with me. I act in the manner I do because people aren't see whats there. For example the Oscar-Trinidad fight, people start saying that it was a close fight, and I show that there were no close rounds early, or people think that Dela Hoya-Mayweather was a close fight, it pisses me off because it seems uneducated. Now when its a dumbass I dismiss them as such, but when its with people who I respect then I tend to be more obnoxious because I don't understand how these people aren't seeing what I am seeing, and I try to, through sheer force of will, force my (correct) views on them.
As for what I like in a fighter. If your life is fighting you have no right not to become as good as you can, and I see the effectiveness of guys like Margarito, but its not pleasing to me. He just comes off as a brute, I have never found watching somebody just walk through punches particularly appealing. Why should you be doing that? At least keep your hands, or use some head movement or something. I give more respect to a guy like Hatton who at least developed technique. I will never respect the Mayorga's of the sport because they don't even try to get better. I am not a bloodthirsty fan, I don't want to see both guys cut and taking a ton of punches, I appretiate the art behind boxing, from Pavlik to Kessler to Roy Jones Jr to Whitaker to Trinidad to Winky Wright to Mike Tyson to Holyfield. I hate when fighters don't maximize their potential or fight stupidly, and I feel 90% of brawlers do that.
This makes no sense at all. You dismiss as dumbasses everyone who thought those fights were close but then say that Hopkins beat Jermain Taylor emphatically in the first fight
So I guess you saw Hopkins winning some of those first 8 rounds then, I'd love to know which ones.................
Um I didn't say Hopkins beat Taylor emphatically, can you read? I said Cory Spinks and Winky WRight did. Also for somebody who is questioning my knowledge of boxing, your analysis of almost everything is wrong. I am not sure if oyu have actually watched a fight or not, but it would certainly make your posts more contributive.
I rarely venture onto the boxing talk board any more and most of analysis is related to my sexual misadventures and political and religious views.
Of course with you watching over 100 fights per week you clearly have no time for a social life of any kind and so have nothing to post on the other boards.
In the light of this, the fact that you still know virtually nothing about the sport is a bit disconcerting.
But I'm sure you'll tell me that you're an armchair expert with real ring experience and have been lacing up the gloves since before you could walk.
