Joe Calzaghe calls Bernard Hopkins an A**hole and a Racist! - Boxing

I think Calzaghe is stretching it saying he kicked Hopkins butt.

It's clear B Hop is getting under his skin.

Both fighters are saying all the right things. Maybe a rematch will happen maybe it won't.

I think Joe wins easier next time.

Another reason why Calzaghe is not held in particularly high esteem by so many, in spite of his "accomplishments"

IF they did fight it would 100% be in Cardiff and NO WAY Popkins gets away with not fighting...he'd be DQ'd anf fucked off out of the ring

I mean.. Calz is right, isn't he? If he said I wouldn't get beat by a black man, is there any difference?

Hopkins had that whooping coming after all the trash he talked. Tough philly Fighter? I don't think so. True philly fighters will look for the bomb to end the fight when they are behind on pts. Hopkins was curled up holding his tiny un-touched testicles for the championship rounds.

calzaghe did hit hopkins near the nuts a couple of times, but hopkins was acting like a drama queen, trying to get points deducted so he could win by a technicality.

Look either ways Hopkins had Joe in his own back yard and fighting his first fight at light heavy ... why didnt he take it outa the judges hands and just stop JC if he is deemed so poor by Hopkins ... because he wasnt good enough, even his god awful cheating was crap and hardly hidden ... the guy who made the racist comments got beat in his own backyard by a first timer at light heavy and he dont like it .... TUFF HOPKINS, YA GOT BEAT BY THE GUY WHO WANTED IT MORE...

Calzaghe is completely right. Hopkins is most certainly a sore loser, a daft racist and he lost quite clearly to Calzaghe.

Calzaghe is saying nothing particularly new here. I dont blame him for not wanting to fight Hopkins again.

Most of Calzaghes swelling came from Hopkins head. He's a fucking ugly fighter and he should have more points taken away when he fights. All that use of the head, holding and play acting. Its beyond the rules and he needs to be called to task.

I wouldnt mind seeing a Dawson or Froch fight. Who really wants to see a Hopkins fight. It would just be the same old from Hopkins and a more careful Calzaghe tallying up the points.

A 100% Cazalghe unleashes upon old snaggletooth far worse IMO. He's already beaten Hopkins and that was Calzaghe not at 100%. There is nothing to suggest that was not Hopkins as good as Hopkins can be.

The Hopkins that fought Pavlik would have been taken to the trenches by Joe. Hopkins did fight the correct fight against Joe. Circle, retreat, counter, hold. Repeat frequently. Anything different and Hopkins gets exhausted and embarrassed by him.

Do you think it was just a coincidence HBO never brought up a Hopkins-Calzaghe rematch the other night?

Wasn't the greatest fight ever. The MAJORITY have Calzaghe as the winner. Whats the point?

I think B-Hop will win a rematch. He will adapt by also flailing his arms and landing glancing shots, so the HBO team can get worked up and yell like he's throwing effective punches.

I agree that a Hopkins rematch would be equally as uneventful as the first fight, but I actually think Calzaghe blows Dawson or Froch away with ease. I think the only interesting fight for him is if Abraham decides to move up.

The only thing they would be concerned about is the low-PPV numbers another anticipated snore-fest would return. That's why they didn't mention it.
