    Default Thanks To Andre

We havent gotten our new facility yet,but I thought it was a waste just sitting on the posters you sent me. So I put a bunch up in my current gym. It really does help give the joint the feel Ive been going for all along. This is where warriors are made. Appreciation and thanks for that

Thanks ,No prob mate ,I know your situation ,so they are put to better use where you are than here.

I dont know about around your way but around here i can buy old out of date posters in glassed frames for a song at garage sales on the weekends, like mickey mouse ones and kids stuff. Remove theold pics ad put your boxing ones in mate.
    Just an idea.
What do you guys call em ? car boot sales I think.

Garage sales, around here,if I find a fight poster at a garage sale, its probably one I dont want. I really dont want kids just aspiring to a Rough N Rowdy or a Toughman, even though Ive got champs in both,I want them to aim a little higher then that.So putting up a poster from one of them in the gym sends the wrong message. An unfortunate truism of life in WV, since the amateur scene really only exists in one small part of the state,Rough N Rowdies and Toughman contests have become our amateur scene. You could either drive 3 hours to fight for free,or drive a half an hour and have a chance to win a grand,as rural and poor as most of this state is,its an easy decision for the kids to make.

I do,I dont know about Andre Im looking to upgrade my facilities and buy a new place, but the best place thats for sale right now,is a little shaky on building quality. The place I really want,I keep hearing isnt for sale.

No, I ment just buy old pictures of anything large in frames (Piss off the pictures) just for the glass and frame to put the posters that i got you into.

I got them from clubs and pubs that used to call us up when a fight was on ,we would a go, but while on the phone I'd always ask for them to keep a poster of that fight set aside for us when we got there.Which they always did cause a couple of my old mates were in their 70s and ex pro fighters so It was good for them too.

I dont own a gym .I have friend called Jim.

You know,I hadnt thought about it much, but its almost imposable to find an old frame around here. I think maybe Ive only seen one for sale cheap, and I was busy at the time so I couldnt tag it.
We havent had the time to frame the Winky-B-hop poster,so as much as I want to put it up,it doesnt go up without it being framed..
But still bro,Kudos,it really makes the gym have the aura of what I want you to be thinking about in there.
How do you get leather and fake gold around your waist.
    Nothing less.

I wish the best of luck to you. I know that the gym that I go to now that's owned by Joe Byrd had humble beginnings. Joe started training guys out of the basement of his home, and over the years the training grounds has varied. Recently a Payless shoe store became the new site for his gym, and that's the place where I'm currently paying my dues.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Honestly bro,I waive fees so often I might as well be that crazy guy that every town has standing on the side of the road waiving to passer buys. But its important.
Boxing gives discipline and direction, balance of mind and body. These kids need that in their life, otherwise life will go bad for them. I provide that.
Maybe I get the next great champ walking in my door, maybe I dont, but the discipline provided by wanting to be a boxer, will help these kids out long term.
