Not really complaining about watching Tarver lose again.

Well by then Tarver will be the wrong side of 40 so maybe he's hoping Bernard will sell some of that reverse ageing miracle potion he's been drinking

Yet he just came off beating one of the best light heavyweights in the world in Clinton Woods pretty emphatically. I don't see the point in the fight, and I am a little dissapointed in Chad, I was really hoping he would fight Hopkins.

He's contractually obliged to rematch Tarver, it was just a matter of when

Let's not forget that Tarver has never lost a rematch, 3 of the 5 people who have beaten him gave him a rematch and he beat them all.

I don't think it will be a walkover for Chad by any means. I expect him to win but Tarver is certainly capable of a suprise.

Look at Vernon when he lost to Sergio Mora, we thought he was done but he rematched him and dominated him completely.

Now I know Chad Dawson is no Sergio Mora but Tarver has pedigree whether you like him or not.

B Hop has come back when it looked like he was done after back to back losses to Jermain, I'm still intrigued to an extent for this fight.

Tarver is never in a barn burner but it should still be interesting.

I just hope Showtime continue their record of putting decent names on the undercard. I imagine either Nonito Donaire or Vic Darchinyan would be a good support act, and probably the usual Angulo or Kirkland 3 rounder to start things off.

    I wouldn't mind that card.

I would rather see a rematch with Glen Johnson then Tarver I thought he clearly defeated tarver.

Uh, look for Dawson to trounce Tarver even worse in the rematch. Dawson was riding on a wave of confidence before and invited Tarver to try to hurt him. This of course is after he made Tarver turtle up after hit him everywhere several times over. Dawson is going to look to make a STATEMENT. Something like putting Tarver on his tush for a ten count perhaps. He was faster than Tarver the first time, he'll be even faster the next as he is still approaching his prime and Tarver has to squint out the back window to see his. Tarver only won rounds when Dawson didn't feel like fighting as hard and even then he was able to hit Tarver whenever he felt like it.
    Oops

Im inbetween on this one. Dawson clearly beat Tarver last time out, but Tarver is no mug. And Dawson isnt the second coming of anything.

Let Tarver have his go, and let Dawson build up some more world level experience.

I dont quite see how Tarver will win at this stage, but at least if he loses again he will have a clearer picture regarding his place in boxing.

He may not be the second coming, but he is damn good.

Who beats Dawson at 175 that is still fighting? Bhop won't give Chad the time of day because Chad has the style to beat Bhop. He schooled Tarver. He is all wrong for Woods. And does the same to Roy. That leaves Glen Johnson and Adrian Diaconu. Glen deserves the rematch and I'll admit it would be interesting. Diaconu is untested against the elite although he has potential.
