Has anyone else heard the rumours flying about regarding this fight??

Apparently set to be confirmed within a few hours, there is nothing about i can see on the net, but if this is true very good step up for Amir. If in the uk i might actully go and watch this fight.

Well I can't find any info on it but if true, I'm totally undecided on what to make of this fight.

Blimey, that's taking a chance isn't it? Even though Khan will be much bigger (Barrera looked like a little fat man last time out) Barrera is still active.

Even if it's officially announced, expect Barrera to mysteriously pull out one week before, to be replaced by obscure, no-name, unbeaten fighter from the South Pacific.

I think the timeing is spot on , Barrera is way past his best and Kahn has done his apprentaship now and if he really wants to be a world champ needs to test himself against past champs who have world class skills, i think the timing is great.

Yes I suppose you are right in that respect but Warren is still taken a risk IMO.

Maybe he is trying to get Khan back in the world mix by beating a Legend who IMO still has a lot to offer.

Didn't Margarito get Knocked out brutally on his way up and look at where he's at now...
Still say Amir will come back and be a threat and think he's in the best possible hands over in the US with Roach and sparring with Manny Pac (who also rates him very highly after sparring with him).
Maybe this is the real start of Amirs career now all the showbiz bollocks has left him and people generally don't care as much anymore.
One thing i've noticed is that he's not in the papers a fraction of what he was this time last year which is only gonna help him and fire him up.
Great fighters can come back from KO's like he suffered and History backs this up so let's get behind the boy and see what he's learnt from that Prescott fight when he meets a real seasoned pro.
All i'm saying is don't right someone with that much natural talent off too quickly

I am behind him aswell Smash, but his chin is just piss poor mate unfortunate, the dance he did against Craig Watson in headgear was an indication of wat was to come, i think its a calculated risk which could possibly backfire but like Fenster said MAB is a small lighweight and i think Amir has just caught the old master at the right time.

I agree, it's a very good fight for Amir with a risk. Even at 35 Barrera is going to be a tough opponent. They're banking that he's too small and old to KO Amir with a single shot. I'd be impressed with the Khan camp if this fight is taken on, VERY risky.

What has Khan and Jennings for that matter done to piss off Frank

    seriously though good call...

i think the hype has gone with khan and this will get it right back and don't forget to the averages UK fan he's taking on the guy who beat Naz.

anyone see Barreras last fight as i think it went un-noticed in the boxing world which speaks volumes on how much he has left.

    smart move by Sports Network.

but a massive gamble and unfortunatly one they will lose as i still see Barrera Sparking Khan in the first round
