If you want/need some kind of a program to follo, Calorie King looks pretty good. When I decide to "shape up" I find that getting scientific about food and stuff, counting calories and all, is kind of boring, and so I don't stick to it, but that's just me. Sure it is good to know calories, but being regimental about it bores me. A little common sense goes a long way, cut down on cheeseburgers, wings, fries, and pizza, yes even beer
, eat more of the good stuff.
One thing I do find interesting is that a large number of foods that are promoted as healthy alternatives are in fact not all that good for you. Granola bars for example. Some fast food veggie sandwhiches are another example.
It also pays to compare fast food joints. I think you will find that a McDonalds burger has quite a bit less calories than a Burger King burger for example.
Good luck with the program.
