Thread: Challenge to all.........

I keep hearing all this negative stuff about Calzhage and I'm just stunned. The guy is the most complete package of our era.

Tell me where you guys guys have found a better package of Speed, Heart, Ring Smarts, Adjustments, Chin, Conditioning, Skill, Dedication and his fights are clean. No need to cheat when you're this good i guess. (Hopkins)

At his age and still have been going undefeated versus the likes of Hopkins, can't think of anyone.

THe only problems that people have with Calzaghe is that A) he hid in Wales for a long time, only to fight old American fighters at the end of his career.
B) He and esp. his father is a twat.

Calzaghe is a great no doubt... To bad they couldnt make the Hopkins-Jones matchup earlier.. Then this guy would be revered without a peep from anyone

You can look at Calzaghe's record on boxrec and take what you want from that. But you can only discuss his career. That's a debate which will go on for years I'm guessing

I don't think that anybody can watch Calzaghe in the ring and say that he is not () a seriously talented fighter and one of the best SMWs of all time, say what you want about his career but in terms of pure boxing ability I don't see how anybody can say otherwise.

He is the complete package but he’s not the only one, the problem is he fought the best boxers (RJJ and Hopkins) when they got old, in other words he didn’t really proved he’s the best but he always acted like he was.
Though I give him credit for all his accomplishment and even though he wasn’t the best IMO, he was a great boxer who deserves a place in HOF and I give him the proper respect (not like some of his compatriots).

Not until hes unbeaten as a champ for 12 years and still beating the top boys when hes 36 and unfortunately for Floyd thats not going to happen now, Joe has no comparisons

Floyd has the better resume, and more career accomplishments at 30 than Calzaghe has at 36... Hope that helped
