    Default So What's the Verdict?

I'd argue that Cotto hit Margarito with just as many, if not more, flush shots as Mosley. What was the difference, Shane's commitment to a body attack, Margarito's conditioning or has Tony's granite chin finally cracked? Personally, I think Margarito's chin may be gone.

He was hit consistently more often by Shane. Cotto accepted pre fight that he wasn't going to KO him so was more cautious with his output, however with hindsight it was probably wrong since being beat up (even on the arms) proved to be more damaging to his stamina.

I think all those punches he took in previous fights finally caught up with him, although him not being bang on the weight probably played a factor as well, meaning his legs weren't quite as strong as in previous fights

Shane planted his feet and loaded up with his right hand all night.

Cotto IMO never threw a punch with over 50% power.
