Valero gets messy when he gets up close and Khan would be faster but, you just get the feeling if one of Edwin's hands were to reach Khan, then it'd be over. It'd be interesting for as long as it lasts though

That'd be awesome. But it aint happening. At this JMM boxing career stage, I don't think he'd settle for high risk low reward fight.

Kahn could actually beat Valero even stop him imo. Valero hasnt fought anyone that big with that kind of speed. Of course Valero cuold KO him if he lands a big punch, but I do think Kahn is smarter and aware that he needs to keep a tight D. If it went past 3, id favor Kahn.

I'm with you on that. I also wanna add that Valero never fought an A level elite fighter (Mosquera was only B+, so as Khan).

    I'd say imo, Valero-Khan is 50/50.

Agreed I give it a 50/50 split....Though Valero has a damn hard punch!!!

Definately 50-50. What makes it interesting is that the boxer usually beats the puncher, but in this case the boxer is a bit chinny and the puncher has some speed. Mosquera is a good fighter, probably the best on his resume, but I cant help but think that if Kahn had fought Valeros opposition, he two would be undefeated with almost all kos. The guy Valero fought last night had impressive numbers but he was in survival mode from the start.

Seems like Pitalua got intimidated from the opening bell and didn't fight smart.

i think Khan's ego would allow him to get careless and he'd get tagged cleanly by Valero and go down, and hard, but yea it's a 50/50 fight

one thing though Valero looked a lot more poised last night than he's looked in the past, i mean he's far from being a technical marvel but he didn't go as crazy as he has in the past, going back to the JMM/Valero fight, i think JMM would counter him pretty much all night, but if Valero landed a clean shot like Diaz did, Marquez would be out

Really? I didn't see the fight.

Pitaltua had a lot of tough talk before the fight, and I thought he was gonna be a tough test for Valero.

Ameer Con could not even out box Prescott. Con beats an old Barrera and suddenly Con is an ace once again? Give me a break. If Valero can land one clean shot and then swarm Ameer Con and then Valero gets Calzlappy on his arse, I think Valero can finish him but he will have to catch The Con artist first as the Con has a new 10 speed bike that has been tuned up by the Roach. I would still favor Valero even if his defense is leaky. Con himself has beat no one and if you mention Barrera, that win is no more significant as Hatton's win over Paulie Malignaggi.
