    Default Is this for real?

    Margarito vs Baldomir?

    What exactly is Bob Arum trying to prove by making this fight? A win over Baldomir means absolutley nothing!!!! ( considering plaster hands wins ). Is Bob Arum trying to pove a point of some sort to the CSAC by hosting these worthless fight cards in Tijuana of all places? Nothing against Tijuana itself but I mean come on this is really getting rediculous now. Of all people, he decides to match him up with Baldomerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I bet the only reason Baldomir took this fight is because he desperate for money. I really hope that when the suspension is up nobody in Cali will fight plaster hands. He screwed up in my opinion and should never be allowed to fight ever again in California. Hell he can stay in T.J. and beat on chumps like Baldomir for all I care.( Arum n plaster hands )

    he'll get plenty of of fights when the suspension is over, mainly cause he'll still sell fights due to the controversy, and can't rag Baldomir that much he's a decent fighter, he beat Judah, and pushed Forrest, he's far from great but he's at least willing to trade, and has a cast iron chin

    My first thought is that Margarito is giving Arum the go ahead to set up a fight to make money. I don't know if he needs the money or just wants it.

    The next thing that comes to mind is that he is jeopardizing his reinstatement. If I were on the commission, I would look at this refusal to abide by the suspension decision as a slap in the face regardless of whether or not, he is ignorant of wrong any doing. I would think that this lack of respect to the commission would only propagate time to the suspension.

    And if I were Baldomir, I would be concerned if Margarito is still using protective gause pading.

    the messed up thing is apparently Capetillo may be kept as his trainer, not certain about that but if he is that's basically just thumbing your nose at the commission, boxing in general.

    Default Arum is a disgrace to boxing

    Bob Arum who use to promote Lard ass Butterbean and charges PPV for fight cards that are headlined by bums like JCC Jr has some balls trash talking Arreola. At least Arreola gives the fans some action not like Jr. who puts you to sleep with his predictable style. LMAO! Well I'm glad that Goosen had this to say to Bobby;

    I'm no defender of Arum but he is right in critisizing the condition of Arreola and McCline. They were like whales marooned on a beach. Ugly stuff.

    The Wright: Williams fight was a good one though so he should keep quiet about that. I don't know why anybody wouldn't want to watch it.

    Miles - it may have been ugly, but do you prefer watching Klitschko v. Ibragimov or Valuev v. Holyfield or Chambers v. Peters? I don't.

    Forget pound-for-pound -- These guys are the most exciting - ESPN - Arreola listed as one of the most exciting fighters to watch (the only heavyweight on the list).

    Arreola is more interesting to watch than most of them others, for sure. My gripe is just that he looked so out of condition. He could be better with a bit of a trim off the waistline. All that wobbly stuff is worrying. Otherwise, he does throw punches and comes to fight, so not all bad. Just the weight issues for me.

    JCC Jr might not be a world beater or anything, but when is he in a boring fight? it's not worth PPV, but he's by no means boring, Arum does start with stupid shit every once in a while, but to be honest he does more good than bad, he has a great eye for talent and when it comes to getting fights made 9 times out of 10 he goes all out to get them made

    I think Arum had a valid point with Arreola and McCline.Think hes more or less voicing frustration as American Heavys have been slim pickings last number of years.Maybe slims a bad choice.Not a fan of JCC jr but his last fight was pretty damn exciting.

    agree, not to sound completely negative, but the truth is American Heavies for the most part now are crap, and i think that it's due to more interest in other sports, such as football and basketball

    There is a point about how out of shame American HWs are, but his comments in general just showcase what a gigantic piece of shit, who is he to try play down Paul Williams & Winky Wright? Good on Goosen for telling it how it is
