Default Damn Hatton, why why why!!!

Why after catching a check left from "lil floyd" wouldnt he learn to stop lunging in? Why wouldn't he learn to put his hands up? Why wouldnt he learn to move his big head if he's going to walk right in?

I picked Hatton to win thinking he would learn these things with Sr in his corner...I picked him hoping floyd wouldnt take the easy fight with the smaller pacman...hoping that floyd would give shane the shot, but after seeing the improvement in pac's game...I'd say pacman and mosley are now the biggest threats to floyd...

Marquez only stands a chance if floyd's timing is off and manages to win enough early rounds..but i think floyd stops him late if he isnt rusty.

Let see it all at the end of the year...

    PACMAN/MOSLEY vs PBF

    PACMAN /MOSLEY vs CLOTTEY/COTTO

    CLOTTEY/COTTO vs PBF

any of those would be fine by me...

"why," you ask? because hatton is not a great fighter--this is the sweet science not a local club; he was out of his league.

Man...what a way to find out...that was the same as PBF v Gatti...in terms of A+ vs C rated... but i thought Hatton was legit at 140...i guess it was KT's age and not hatton's ability

Yeah, Hatton was the same ol Hatton if not worse. All this talk about improvement in boxing skills. I never seen it in the Malignaggi fight like they say. He was about as straight in as a fighter could be. No head movement, no angles, left hand low, lunging punches, etc. etc. etc. He'll learn that he'll never learn to box. I agree with Michael Moorer, Hatton is the most overrated fighter today.

yeah, I think KT's age, also that he was in Hatton's home and that the ref let him smother him. now I'm opposed to over-reffing, and I think bayliss over-reffed, was too quick to come in and break them apart; hey, this is a championship, and if the champ wants to hold for a moment after getting knocked down don't be a bitch to separate him too quick. still, the reffing for the hatton-KT fight was a joke.

    Hatton was awful last night.

For all of his talk of cementing his legacy and being the pound for pound king - actions speak larger than words.

Hatton is a good fighter but is no where near any "great" status.

It was embarrassing last night. It was almost like a carbon copy of the Mayweather fight.

I do feel a bit for MAyweather snr. I'd be pissed off if I was him.

But there is no-one to blame now Ricky. No Billy Graham to sack - the harsh truth is all fingers point to Ricky Hatton.

I think last night shows exactly why he didn't fight Junior Witter.

I'm gutted for Ricky, but you can not argue with the truth.

Ricky looked absolutely flumoxed at the stance and the speed.

He got hit and kept getting hit and still didnt put his hands up.

I saw him on the pads with that Lee Beard before the fight and Ricky was really tensing and winding his shots up, as with the Mayweather fight I think Ricky was too intent on proving how strong he is, Pac said he felt the strength but what good is being strong if you cant get out of the way of a punch and it wasnt any sneaky sort of punch either, watch the KO punch on slow motion, maybe Hatton was too far gone by that point to have any reactions, maybe he was dry at the weight and got caught cold in the first.

Hatton fought like a twat and I would say that this win yet again flatters Pacquiao b ut it was still something to levcel a fighter as strong as Hatton and I do think that Pacquiao has it in him to beat Mayweather.

If I was Pacquiao id have baited Floyd there and then, comparing their results against Hatton, make Floyd feel he has to fight Manny right away with no tune up, not that Marquez is going to be an easy fight

I do think Warren will be offering Ricky a Khan match should Amir win his next bout but to be honest Ricky has no punch resistance now and I could see him getting tagged by anyone now, he was lucky the bell went when it did in the first but that last punch will leave some lasting damage on his mind.

Since everyone is pickni on Hatto here ill like to put in my 2 cents.
Why throw a jab at all if your juzz going to lunge in hands by your chest and nowhere near your face and with your mouth open?
    There you go.
oh, and why you ask....Pacquiao is juzz something else man.

Maybe there should be another one like the hall of history.

like those classical sculptures you see in all the famous museums without any arms.

Is there one somewhere full of limbs?

Fighters do get old. They do lose the edge over the years that they once had. This happens faster with aggressive fighters and I personally find it insulting that fair weather fans like you quickly turn on a fighter who risk their health over and over again.

Hatton gets shit on all of the sudden for losing? Any fighter who takes real risks lose at some point. Those same fighters earn my respect way more than the ones who carefully craft who their next opponent will be.

Hatton went out on his shield like a man. He got beaten by another man who has taken many risks. We many never see another fighter unite fans in the way Ricky did and that alone deserves respect. Win or Lose.

By the way grade C fighters do not achieve what hatton did. Not even close!

here we go again...im not turning on hatton..my picking him to win was just so floyd would face maybe mosley...but seeing as how pac is legit at 140...not sold on him at 147..pac and mosley are capable of beating floyd...

I was simply asking why didnt hatton learn from his last fight with a quick opponent? Why does he believe he can walk straight to guys with fast hands, and with his guard down at that?

and as far as him being C-rated and his accomplishments...he beat some contenders, an old KT and Castillo, and thoroughly outclassed by the only two A-rated fighters on his resume...

Hatton was great at being just the kind of boxer he was ... which was not a great boxer. A swarmer, an overwhelmer, a puncher, with good speed and enough power to beat most comers. And heart in spades.

He was not a class C boxer - he was (is) better than that - but there is a gap between him and the greats. Not a sweet scientist like PBF or the later Lennox, and a scientist with speed and sufficient power should generally win over Hatton's style.

I don't know what to say about Hatton's win over Tzyu ... that still does't seem logical. That is one of those fights that depresses me.

It is rather incredible that hatton would come straight in without good defense when fighting someone like Manny. Not too smart.

But - don't blame Paq's win too much on Hatton's poor boxing skills, or you can't make an argument for Manny to step into a ring with PBF, at least not on the basis of his fight with Hatton.

    It was horrible.

Hatton did almost everything that you really shouldn't be doing. Hands low, chin wide open, storming straight in, no head movement, no jab, loading up and missing with wild hooks.

Nothing was there for him and also his punch resistance was shot. Pac hasn't been blowing anybody away in two rounds. It's truly shocking that such a thing could happen at this level. It was bizarre and very upsetting. And I'm not talking Manny down becuase he did everything right. Kept his composure and picked Hatton off.

I'm still totally amazed by it all.

He was trying to hold Manny but his plan failed coz he couldn't manhandle Manny. Pacman was so elusive and fast, he makes fighters like hatton, Diaz and DLH look like amateurs. Props to Pac.
