Right.. you said "No fighter is allowed to fight for free" So it's not illegal, right? Just plain fucking stupid.

Just like it's plain fucking stupid to suggest money is irrelevant, right?

What were Norris and Vaden's purses?
I'm thinking your saying Haye shouldn't fight for free. I agree. What exactly is your point?
I know you agree. Only a complete IDIOT would suggest a pro boxer would fight for free. Money dictates the game. Boxing is all about the money. If you ain't getting paid you aint fighting. Fact.

If memory serves me right it was 1.5 mill for Vaden. 1.3 for Norris. Which is a joke of a purse for Norris

    Not quite, VD.

Vaden's $250,000 purse was withheld for "conduct unbecoming a champion,"

So haye is all about the money and always has been and that's the only reason he wants the fight... but you don't think he should fight for free?

Seems like you're either making an irrelevant, moot point if all you're doing is pointing out that nobody fights for free or you're criticising Haye for being all about money and then contradicting yourself.

Your not to bright are you? How exactly am I contradicting myself? Did I say Haye should go along with the fight without being paid?

Tommy Gibbons fought for free when he challenged for Jack Dempsey's Heavyweight crown.

Dempsey was one of the greatest draws in boxing history, but the Gibbons fight was a financial disaster with barely anybody showing up to see it.

Dempsey and his manager Kearns had worked out a guaranteed purse of $300 thousand, and the town of Shelby, Montana went bankrupt paying it.

There was nothing left for Gibbons.

Shortly after, Gibbons went on tour and made some money by retelling the tale of his battle with Dempsey.

A few months later, Dempsey drew over 80 thousand people in attendance for the Firpo fight with an estimated 20 thousand more left out on the street as the venue was jam-packed to the rafters.

Firstly, generally if you're going to tell some one that they're not too bright you should at least spell you're properly... it's hard to take anything you say about some one's intellect seriously when you write like a 12 year old.

I didn't say that you definitely were contradicting yourself, I said it depended on the point you were trying to make.

    You were either:

    a) making an irrelevant 'revelation' to us that boxers are also businessmen (no shit Sherlock).

    b) Criticising Haye because 'it's always been about the money' and not getting paid a dime was relevant to him, then saying that he shouldn't fight for free once the (incorrect) example (where both fighters at least got paid SOMETHING) you tried to give of a fight (14 years ago) were money was irrelevant fell flat on their arse.

Maybe you can try and clarify the point you've been trying to make here but as far as I can see those are the two options. Like I said before (apparently you weren't bright enough to understand) you're either being irrelevant OR contradictory depending on what ever it is you are trying to say.

What exactly is the point you are trying to make regarding this fight and getting paid please?

OK let's say Haye postponed the fight because money.....what is 3 weeks going to do for Haye's $$$ trouble?

He's either truly hurt or he's not and either way we're not going to see the fight Wlad vs Haye on the 20th
