Bullshiit. If he knew Taylor's cheek bone was fractured he would of stopped it as he found out.
Who said anything about a fractured cheek bone I said Meldrick's face. You don't need an x-ray to tell when someone's getting their's pounded in.
You said Steele knew "the extent of Meldrick's face". So he had to know about the fracture, right?

That's why I mentioned swelling, to say that he was looking at his face, not his medical report.

Horrible judgement and situational awareness on Steele's part or he had money on Chavez.
Agree. Steele was looking for audio confirmation from Taylor. Which was damn near impossible considering Taylor was exhausted. His cheek bone was fractured. And the mouth piece was in his mouth. Taylor slight nod should of been enough acknowledgement for Steele
I still can't see the nod you are talking about

McGuigan doesn't look half as badly hurt to me. His legs have gone and is suffering from exhaustion but his head seems there.

Taylor looks like he's one shot away from death.

There's definitely a nod there, just as he turns to look at his corner.

Richard Steele was too busy doing the theatrical hand wave with his eye's shut to actually notice.

There was a special in Boxing Monthly on Leonard-Hagler ''20 Years On'' where Hagler spilled his guts over all his thoughts on everything surrounding the fight.

He went on to comment about Richard Steele's involvement in the fight.
    Said some alarming things

I was reading it just the other day and Straight away i thought of the Taylor-Chavez fight.
