    Default Remembering IKE

What promise I saw in Ike Ibeabuchi. I just need James Kirkland to see the missed opps of past fighters. Nobody is perfect so lets not pile on a man while he is down. I just hope he gets it back together. Im pushing for James. Back to IKE, I saw something special in that fighter. What's your thoughts

Hey, Ike was a tremendous loss for the sport. The Tua fight alone was worth something.

He was mentally ill if I remember. It's a shame, because this guy had a lot of potential.

Ike could have been something special, I can't see him beating a properly prepared Lennox, but besides him, I saw Ike beating Holyfield at that point, and Tyson and everyone else around.

James Kirkland IMO doesn't have the same potential, I never found him that impressive, too easy to hit, not a granite chin, and he was flawed fundamentally, I don't think he would have made it much farther than he did, kind of reminds me of Miranda, and I was saying Edison was way overrated while so many people on here thought he was the second coming.

Yeah Ike got the max 5 -30 yrs A grave miscarriage of justice
Ike was the natural successor to Lennox Lewis he would have been undisputed champ .
People say Ike is mentally ill, but just think for one minute. If you were kept confined for 14 months, heavily sedated, for fear of what you "Might do" wouldnt you be mentally ill? Ike plead innocent then and still does but was talked into copping a plea with the promise he'd be back boxing in 6 months. He finally agreed but instead he got shafted the woman judge gave him the max sentence
Kirkland is just another street punk he is where he needs to be right now, in jail for a very long time

Kirkland pleaded guilty recently. He should be sentance some time in September I believe. I'm betting he gets time served and gets out.

You would think the guy caught with a gun deserves to be there forever, but the rapist suffered a grave miscarriage of justice
