Read the Urango Bailey thread yvonne. We followed the fight pretty close in it, with fairly accurate scoring. It'll give you a good sense of the flow of the fight I'd think.

I've just read about the fight on BBC's web site.Woods gave good account of himself in the fight from what i've read of it.I hope he comes back over here and fights on the domestic level, maybe fight Cleverly before Woods finally hangs up his glove.

I always respected Woods as a top bloke and a good fighter. Its a shame he fell short last night but he seem to make a good account of himself!

Yas we followed the Woods fight in that thread but you'll have to back track a bit to find it. Overall, Woods was outworked by Cloud. The years seemed to wear on Woods as the fight progressed, but he fought tough and hard right to the finish. No respect lost, that's for sure. Cloud just had more gas and ability to deliver last night, and he did.

Yeah,i had a feeling this fight would pan out like that.Woods is tough as old boots,it would have took a tank to take Woods down. With him being 37 years old it was always going to be a tough fight for Woods.Im glad he showed good account of himself.Woods did say that if he did'nt win he would retire, well i'd like with to fight for once last time over here in the uk on the domestic level. If he does'nt fare play to him. He's a sound fella and he owes us brits nothing.

    Respect to you Woods

I agree i'd love to see Cleverly vs Woods, would be a great domestic scrap and a very useful yeardstick for Cleverly. Think he might need another couple of fights though, at the moment i see Woods seeing a clear UD.

Totally agree. He was outgunned but fought courageously all things considered. He was under serious pressure down the stretch and got tagged nastily a couple of times, but he saw it through like a trooper. Despite losing I think he gave a very good account of himself. It was a very good fight.

I have'nt yet seen all of the Woods vs Cloud fight, but i understand what you said Daxxkahn mate,Clinton has a great chin but seems to go into a shell of his own.It frustrated me to hell when he fought Tarver and just never fought with aggression as we all know he has.He could have beaten Traver, even known Traver fought pretty good.
Yeah Woods vs Cleverly would be a great step up for Cleverly,i do agree with you that Cleverly could do with 2 fights before their meet, but clevely said he would fight Woods as soon as he could!

Clinton Woods has a solid chin and all but he just didn't have the skill or power to keep Woods off.

Just watched the Woods fight and it was entertaining.

Youth prevailed and Cloud is one strong, powerful fighter. This was the best learning fight he could have asked for. Clinton used his experience at times to gain time though Cloud was pretty relentless.

Round 8, which was a 10-8 round for Cloud, was a punishing one for Woods and credit to the mans heart and chin that he stayed on his feet.

Cleverly vs Woods is a natural now - Woods still has enough in the tank not to be an easy proposition for the young Welshman.

Good to see Tavoris Cloud with a belt and hopefully he will be busy as he has an entertaining style.
