    Default Fighters in the pool

I wanted to propose this about filling vacancies.

I feel that fighters who have been removed from the ratings to the pool should have to have won a fight since entering the pool before they can be considered to fill a vacancy, or else it seems to defeat the purpose of dropping them from the rankings in the 1st place

An example of this would be the current 154 vote, where Sergio Mora was removed recently from the rankings, but because he's in the pool he is still eligible to be voted on

I know most of us would not vote him anyway, but I think we should make it an official qualification for filling vacancies

    Thoughts?

I think it is a good idea, these guys should not be totally voided as they achieved something and in my eyes, anybody can potentially and eventually seek redemption if he can work hard enough.

Totally agree.Otherwise its just a revolving door.Pool is a step up and should not be a holding pattern.

I didn't really have the option to vote on what I wanted. I don't feel a fighter who lost his last fight should be able to enter the rankings, however, I do feel a fighter who won his way into the pool, should be eligible to be voted in to fill a vacancy.

What its really for is guys being voted out of the ratings, having to win a fight before they are eligible to be voted into the ratings again. A perfect example would be someone like Firat Arslan... he has not been active at all but he is in the pool because he was removed from the ratings. I just feel these types of fighters should have to win a fight before we consider them for the ratings again

I agree with that, I just find it a bit annoying that we have very few complete divisions. I'd like to think by the time we'd had this running a year, we'd have them all full for the Top 10.

I also think regarding the pool, we should be able to elect fighters to it regardless of whether they have an upcoming match-up

That's a good idea & I don't think anyone will disagree with you, all we need to do is put up a vote & see how the committee feels.

As for filling vacancies we haven't done too bad I think, 160 & 108 have been the hardest to fill imo. 135 has upcoming fights that can fill positions & 154 is very active also with good fights in the future to fill ratings

Yeah, 160 is one where I feel there are definitely issues, we've only got one guy in the pool (Geale) who is really worthy of being ranked at present. Plus with David Lopez dropping out soon having not fought at the weight in a year, I feel we definitely need some new people in there. I'll put people up rather than keep desperately looking for something to fill the void.

I know what you mean about filling them, but it frustrates me that our Top 10 rankings are generally Top 9s or even 8s. We obviously have to keep it moving, but I think I'm gonna get pro-active filling these vacancies over the next month.

That's good to hear, I think other manager's are concerned about filling the #10 as that guy may be pushed out it a higher ranked fighter is defeated. But imo if #10 is pushed to the pool it gives him another 6 months before we review his progress, plus I think it goes a long way to strengthening our pools

Fighters removed from the ratings to the pool will need to win a fight before being eligible to be rated again by a vote of 3 - 0
