The 2 channels are crap, they have very little boxing and are no Setanta which is a real disappointment.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
What two channels are you talking about?
ESPN classics is the f*cking nuts
Classic football, boxing, cricket etc 24 hours a day
one dangerous horrible bloke
ESPN's been awful for boxing, i was hoping they'd follow on from setanta but i don't think they've shown one live fight since we could get it. ESPN classic only shows tyson or ali every now and then, although i did watch a programme about Hasim Rahman a couple of weeks ago seriously though their boxing coverage has been shocking
Especially with their Premier League quota of live matches due to drop by half next season, I'm not going to be subscribing anytime soon.
No disrespect lads, but why is anyone suprised??
One of the main reasons Setanta went bust was it's budgeting mistakes investing heavy contracts with different boxing promoters, espn wernt likely to follow the lead of a company who invested heavily in boxing and UFC and then went bust lol.
Mate espn show friday fight night nite over in the States, they dont show the big fights, we get all them delayed on espn.
I dont see how you thought they would be showing the same shows as Setanta when like you said espn in the Usa dont show it because rival networks HBO/Showtime cover them.
They were never going to show boxing.
i watch more on espn than i do on skysports, i mean before i cancelled skysports
Only thing I like watching on ESPN is the Toughman Competitions.
I'm currently wasting a tenner a month on this on Top Up TV.
Most of the football matches they show are a complete waste of time, usually something like Manchester United v Stoke City (although they had Aston Villa v Tottenham last week and Manchester City v Chelsea next week so I'm not making this point at the best time) but on Freeview the picture quality is appalling, it's like watching a feed!
Pretty much everything else they show is junk, and I, of course, include UFC in that.

I think ESPN's coverage is good & they're also making a good financial profit as they've focused on football, which is what the majority of people watch. Hopefully once they start to make more, they'll start putting on some boxing.
Setanta's deal with Top Rank & Sauerland would be pretty sweet right now though, can't believe how so many of the same people who complained about it at the time are now eulogizing over it.
