Boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya makes Las Vegas fight announcement on Lopez Tonight

November 18, 2009 - Oscar De La Hoya is heading back into the ring!
According to an announcement the boxing great will make on TBS TV's Lopez Tonight -- hosted by George Lopez -- Oscar De La Hoya is NOT walking away from the ring.
Here's how things went down on Lopez Tonight:

George: "You have an announcement. I knew you couldn't stay retired. You have an announcement."

Oscar: "Now that you've brought it up, I actually wanted to wait for your show to make a special announcement to you. I'm actually coming back. I couldn't resist. I mean, I have the place already...Las Vegas. I actually have the opponent already too..."

George: "Who are you gonna fight?"

This announcement wasn't as shocking as it was exciting. Just thinking about De La Hoya getting in the ring again is great for all boxing fans!
Now, you may be asking, exactly who is Oscar De La Hoya fighting?
Well, how fair would it be to tell you prior to the airing tonight on TBS during Lopez Tonight. You just have to watch to find out -- and trust me, you are going to be thrilled to discover who the contender will be.

Do you guys think this is true? Anyone herd of this? Personally i think they just want to get Lopez some higher ratings.

Hatton vs Del La Hoya, battle of the has beens.

I'm all for the oldies pairing off against each other, keeps it level and entertaining. Not the biggest fan of them going in against the best fighters in their prime and getting embarresed. Didn't enjoy watching him lose so badly to manny.
