Default How about Bute v Hopkins?

This would be huge in Canada, I think this would be a good fight.

Nard's not going anywhere near the depth of the SMW div right now.

Hence why he won't go near the SMW division.

Why? BHop should go out with a bang and fighting Bute is more like a whimper right now. He might as well have a Philly showdown with Steve Cunningham or throw caution into the wind and fight Vlad.

Yeah, Vlad's an awesome idea. End his career it would.

Boring fight. Hopkins would win by decision.

Well, according to ESPN.com, Golden Boy Promotion CEO, Richard Schaefer, wants to make a fight between Bernard Hopkins and Lucian Bute at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal. He thinks it would sell 50,000 tickets.

I assume it would be at 175? More fodder for those Hopkins detractors who say he makes smaller fighters come up in weight to fight him I guess.

I haven't read that. If that's true, expect 50 000 to sell within a couple of hours to 2 days max I am sure. Such fight would be like the biggest boxing event in Montreal since the Duran-Leonard, which happened at the Stadium as well. I thought HBO was all gun ho for a Pavlik-Bute, perhaps (if Bute wins) that it could happen after.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
