    Default Pac v. Mayweather venue

I know most people agree that the bout will most likely be in Las Vegas, but when do you think this will be confirmed? Realistically, it is like 3 months away so lots of people will need to start making travel plans if they plan on going....

Apparently that at the moment, Old Jerry Jones is the one in pole position to welcome the fight in his new billion dollars toy...

According to this the venue will be announced next week and it might not be Vegas

Arum and company are meeting with Jerry Jones today at Cowboys Stadium.

They are taking this venue VERY seriously. I think Jones is the type of guy to be willing to spend big to say 'he' hosted the biggest fight in history.

I will be making a strong effort to attend the fight live, and would prefer the fight in Dallas. The tickets away from ringside will definitely be cheaper than an MGM ticket.

I also don't care if I'm in nosebleed in Cowboys stadium. I just want to be there to soak up the atmosphere.

If Jones offers what they want to hear, I am confident Dallas will be the venue.

I actually hope it's at cowboy's stadium, that would be a phenomenal show.

I hate Jerry Jones and despise him as much as it is humanly possible. However, its new toy is taylor made for great events and no doubts a fight over there would be sensational. Apparently the cost to host the venue would turn around 15 millions dollars, the biggest amount since the 12.5 for Tyson-Lewis.

Do you think a boxing match can sell out a stadium? So far the only one that comes to mind who was able to do so is Julio Cesar Chavez when he faced Greg Haugen in the massive Estadio Azteca (around 120,000?) in Mexico. When I have seen a fight in MGM Grand, even on the last sections it looks ooookay, imagine a stadium, not so sure. If it sells out, the fight itself, crowd roar, ambience, etc. would be worth my trip to Dallas. If I could choose, I would rather have it at MGM Grand.

There will never be anymore huge fights in New York anymore. Why? The taxes are outrageous there. That's why almost all of the big fights are in Vegas.

Staples Center offers $20 million to host Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight | The Fabulous Forum | Los Angeles Times

I wonder if California can compete with Nevada's Tax. My guess is no, but Staples just upped the venue cost by $5 Million or so, and also apparently Texas is out. Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather won't be held at Cowboys Stadium - ESPN Dallas
