Shane Mosley: "Margarito Should Get His License" - Boxing News
Well of course if Shane would have said cheaters should be banned or not reinstated he would seem kind of hypocritical. He blames it on Margarito's trainer and not on Margo himself.

I agree with him as long as he doesn't complain if I challenge him in the ring with a baseball bat. After all, if attacking peoples with weapons is not that bad, I shouldn't get much of a ban for that, a little year, nothing more. I would even receive my purse as Margarito had his, no?

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
agree with mosley!!!
I remember you being pretty harsh on Pacquiao over the whole PEDgate issue, how can you justify such a small punishment for someone who attempted something far worse than what Pacquiao is accused of doing?
Shane Mosley used to be my favourite fighter, but more & more since the revelations of 2007 I feel alienated by him. You can't defend what Margarito tried to do, and he shouldn't. There's only one reason he is and that's because of what he got up to 'doing all he could to win'.
you could argue the point that marga didn't know his trainer did it, you could argue either way he should get a ban, but life time? no...
James toney got busted TWICE? using roids, TWICE... all him, and that prick still has a licence... fuck that!
Shane is a forgiving guy and you should not read too much into his statement.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I agree that Margarito should be able to get back his license but, maybe, only after 3 years of suspension. Or he can be reinstated after a year of suspension provided his first opponent be allowed the use of plaster in the gloves.
Mosley was my favorite fighter even through all the PEDs and silly suggestive statements he made about Pac. I dont' blind myself because I like a fighter. I am not going to agree with Mosley on this even one iota. This is just an attempt to not sound hypocritical. Of course Mosley says put the lifetime ban on the trainer. Just like Mosley wants everyone to believe it was Conte who duped him and was to blame for his PED usage. Yeah, lets just get everybody but the actual boxer. This is the silliest scapegoat any athlete can use. Ignorance. Lets not stop there what about blaming everyone else possible like my trainer, my nutritionist, my coach, my friend, or my roommate's boyfriend's cousin's brother-in-law's aunt's co-worker. Just don't say the actual person cheating was aware of any kind of cheating. It was a conspiracy. Mosley never had to fight Margarito with casted hands. Just like Mosley never had to fight Mosley on PEDs. Its easy to feel detached sympathetically when you weren't the one cheated against but in fact you were one of the cheaters at one point.
Margarito has not even apologized yet.
Mate, with all due respect, how much do you love Shane Mosley?
You act as if he's Sugar Ray Robinson meets Jesus, rather than a confirmed PED cheat.
What we should read into his statement is that he's trying to avoid the obvious hypocrisy of him blaming someone who tried to cheat. It's all the fault of Javier Capetillo/Darryl Hudson/Victor Conte, never the fighter who actively took advantage of the benefits.
Not for nothing, but its easy to forgive someone when the found the plaster before you fought him. For the sake of argument, lets say they don't find it till after Mosleys been hit with a cinderblock and suffers a detached retina or something. I doubt he would be as forgiving or quick to call for cheato being relicensed.
As for cheato saying he didn't know... Its not just a little odd when you pulled off your glove at the end of a fight and needed a chisel to get your wraps off? Just sayin.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
