    Default Cotto by TKO

A lot of people are picking Yuri Foreman tonight thinking Cotto must be shot or something.

Well I'm not one of them.

Cotto is not going to lose to a guy with 8 ko's who hasn't ever fought anybody.

Miguel Cotto will break this guy down with body shots and pound him into a stoppage victory tonight.

And if not, then he'll outbox the kid.

Cotto is the better boxer of the two as well as the bigger puncher.

Definatly possible, i'm one of the ones kinda picking foreman to just bicycle and frustrate a decision out. But foreman getting the crap beat out of him wouldn't really surprise me.

Well good luck to you and to him. I dont mind who wins.
Im going with the reverse and I dont even really know why.
Definately not on Cottos skills or his work rate maybe just on the wear and tear he has been through and this being a different weight with Yuri bigger.

Foreman is bigger but not by much, and he's certainly not a puncher so I don't see that coming into play.

Perhaps Foreman can absorb Cotto's shots better being a natural 154 lber though.

Either way I can't see Cotto losing to this guy.

...And don't switch stance. Stick with those crisp jabs. Just box, don't force KO,.. it'll come with the right opportunity.

I can see both guys cut but with Cotto needing to 'make' the fight and come too Foreman his face just wont stay together. As long as Foreman stays moving and landing the fast combos, does not get sucked into exchanges I think he will beat Cotto.Foremans biggest question to be answered is how his rib cage will hold up and frankly the atmosphere and imposing mentality of Cotto.....both guys seemingly are going in different direction but this is a debut for Foreman as far as caliber and credibility in opponent.I want Cotto to win,I dont think he will. His heart will not faulter but see his body, skin doing so.

After the disgraceful showing by Clottey against Pacquiao at Texas Stadium, I'm super happy these guys put on such a good show. Like Lampley and Kellerman well put it at the end... good venue (Yankee Stadium), a game and brave Foreman, fighting on despite his bum knee... a wonderfully renewed Cotto, now with Steward in his corner... all in all a GREAT night for boxing.

I agree totally. Both guys did well for themselves. Cotto looked great and Foreman looked good as well. A bit timid in the first two rounds, but then Foreman started opening up in the 3rd and 4th. The crowd was on its feet when they fought on in the 8th and into the 9th. It would have been even better if it got into the championship rounds, but unfortunately a guy slips on the logos and the fight ends before it otherwise would have. (like Dirrell Abraham)

I had it 4 rounds for Cotto, 2 rounds for Foreman going into the 7th. But it was a close fight and an interesting match of styles. It was an important event tonight, and important fight. As I said before, I don't understand why Cotto's gloves were twice the size of Foreman's.

Cotto was wearing the new Everlast Protex or something like that which is basically Everlast's answer to Winnings. They have those, a 'punchers glove' which is designed much more in the mold of the Reyes gloves and then they basically just have a redesigned version of their previous glove whatever it's called. I did think they looked big plus they were white, if I remember so were Mayweather's when he fought Judah so maybe it's the white that makes it so eyepopping. Mayweather was wearing Winnings that night though if I remember right.
