As long as there has been boxing there has been these stories. For the life of me I will never understand why so many fighters that come from such horrible poverty all spend their money like it has an expiration date!! I would think if I was that poor I would do everything in my power to make sure I'd never go back to it. It's so sad. They all want to blame their managers and promoters (and we all know there are many that are out right crooks) but having large entourages and blowing money on stupid purchases makes them just as blameworthy.
Everytime I see some fool yelling and throwing their money at the camera surrounded by 100 yes men I think of these situations.Damn shame and if ever there was a fighter who should be payed per minute of excitment and courage the showed in the ring...it would be Saad, and he would forever be a rich man!Has always struck me as a good natured man in interviews only wish him well...and can't thank him enough for some memories that made me love this sport.Young guys today could take notes on traversing adversity from him, inside and outside of the ropes!Good luck champ.
Part A: Guy was a true warrior with a tough upbringing who made it all the way to the top through guts and determination.....BRAVO!
Part B: Guy blew 4 million on fancy cars & mink coats... no thought for using his money wisely for good but spent it on selfish luxury, Now he's broke.........Tough Sh1t!
