Thread: Amir Khan Versus Marcos Maidana - The Roach Approach?

Thought I'd put out a short article on how Freddie Roach and Amir Khan may build a fight plan to deal with the very real threat of Marcos Rene Maidana, it's called Amir Khan Versus Marcos Maidana - The Roach Approach?. Used video of a couple of Maidana's recent matches and tried to keep the analysis at a technical and tactical level.

Maidana is clearly the underdog in the eyes of many.

You can call it SPEED vs BRUTE FORCE. And most of the time speed prevails.

Or!

GLASS CHIN vs A GUY WITH 92% KO RATIO.

I see this fight 50/50, but not highly competitive if you know what I mean.

Khan by lop-sided UD victory, or Maidana can make it a short with 1-punch KO.

Khan difinitely improved under Freddie Roach. But Maidana, eventhough he's a borderline slow, he's got some skills too. He's very awkward but at the same time he knows how to time someone.

I thought it was a good article, reminded exactly why I'm so excited about this fight. The contrasting styles should click perfectly.

Your dead right about Maidanas looping punches, I think Khan has the speed to put him down with some short hooks.
