Default Carl froch's new found maturity...can he win the tourney?

Now everyone here knows that Wacko's a fan of Arthur Abraham...& that I have never liked Froch...but this past weekend when I was layed up on the couch watching the main even after being medicated for ruptured/compressed discs & getting ready for back surgery...I was pleasantly surprised.

Trust me...I hate it that my guy Arthur lost...but Froch showed out in Wacko's Humble Opinion.

    What the F happened here?!?!

The guy looked great, patient, focused, & very spot picky. I was impressed...couple that with the fact that his other corner man (woman) is hot as fried pickles...& this guy could be a candidate for the winner of the tourney.

Really...Froch did well & took the shots just was well as he gave.

I am always devoted to my fighter & Abraham is my fighter...but Froch did very very well against my guy & i was pleasantly surprised. They all say that Abraham was lacadasial...but I don't think that it'd mattered.

    Froch done goot!!!

So...is is possible for Froch to win it? Talk to me peeps...talk to me.

    Suffering succotash!!!

It's WackOff... Holy BBQ'D Horses Ass Batman it's really him.

I'm on the same boat as you.
I liked AA more then Froch but I've always said that AA was beatable and he would be beat by a boxer. Someone who would move and box because he stands around for way to long and just waits.

I agree if Froch can keep it together and keep up this style and maturity me finks he gives Ward one helluva fight.

Great to see ya' around Wacks miss ya' my man...

I think he has the potential to do so. This was the first fight at the top where you could see Froch sticking with the gameplan and thinking his way through it. It was a remarkably controlled performance. It shows that Froch can not only bang, but box in his own somewhat unorthodox way.

I think if he can get through Johnson, then the next important step is to get Ward out of his hometown. Froch should not go there as everything will be stacked against him and Ward will get away with murder. On a level playing field, I think Froch can bust Ward up over the long haul. But it needs to somewhere where rough house tactics and outright cheating are penalised. Ward gets away with far too much and it's almost like Showtime are trying to grant him the tournament.

For me he's def come from under the radar but after last weekend a HUGE step back and ....wtf moment was due. He really has done all you could ask from a fighter. Style is not pretty but perversely effective and has sparks of excitement created by some lapses.

Hands low, cocky as fook, flat footed but moves enough and mentally has grown in leaps. Can bang and has an all around size-span factor. Love Johnson to death but can see Froch frustrating him greatly on inside, move out and repeat. Think Wards willingness to come in and force self could be bad vs Froch as well. Has his own cheering section too. Crap, goodluck on the back ordeal Wacks. Enjoy the meds while they last...quick recovery.

Froch was very impressive against Abraham, but I think he comes up short against Ward.

froch will beat ward worse than he beat abraham

the biggest worry is they wont get to fight and we will have to see Froch demolish Abraham again

I agree with this. Froch will look similar to what he looked like against Dirrell, except Ward will land more. Imo anyway. I hope i'm wrong. Would love to see Froch win the tourney.

Ward looked good against Kessler, but im think he could be a little over rated

Kessler beat Froch on work rate that is it, Froch was better in every other department

Ward hasnt looked good at all in his following two fights

It ain't Christmas unless Wacko's in town!

    man.

Froch definitely showed a level concentration that seemed to be lacking. I hope he can hold it together against someone as spiteful as Ward.

I think he can win it. Ward won't be as difficult for Froch to find in the fight as Dirrell was, and I don't think Ward will have the power to stop Froch or back him up. Obviously Ward has the advantage in speed and movement, and could win quite a wide decision based on the fact that he is technically a very skilled boxer. But I think if Froch stays disciplined, he can get to Ward and beat him. At least I hope he wins, the Cobra's really grown on me over the last year or so

No but he's won them. He might not necessarily look good against Froch either. But he will still probably beat him. Unfortunately.

Froch showed a lot in that fight. I believe Froch will beat Johnson, but he will be in a precarious position until the final bell. I also favor Froch in a rematch against Kessler. With Ward, I have trouble seeing Froch hitting him enough to beat him. And Ward will be sufficiently fast to get within Froch's reach to smother him and beat him on the inside. Either way, Froch has impressed.

The thing about Froch that impresses me is his ability to adapt. He can play it rough like he did with Dirrell or fight a smart game plan like he did with Abraham. Along with his power and reach he should give Ward all he can handle.I would like to seee him hit Ward hard early, may make him stand off a bit where Froch can tee off a bit. My two cents.
