Default Dimitry Pirog vs David Lemieux

This is the one fight I hope for in 2011.

    It would be a war.

    Two absolute beasts.

    Who wins?

    Pirog. He's more proven.

Depending on his chin and defense at the top level, I think David wins, I think he is much stronger technically, and has more power. He really gets snap into his punches.

that would be a good fight. Personally, I believe Lemieux could make it but Pirog is to be taken quite seriously.

I echo that man, definitiely. Would love to see these two go at it. What a fight it could be. I say Pirog knocks Lemiuex out cold.

I think it be a case of to much to soon, I mean yeah they both done had about the same amount of fights, but isn't lemieux only 21, pirog's like 30. Pirog seems to have a more akward style, but lemiux just seems like he has concusive power, at the moment I'd lean towards pirog tho.

I'd rather see Pirog face Martinez or Sturm and Lemieux face another prospect or two before fighting at that level.

How about Lemiuex facing Rubio than maybe a Ishe Smith type fighter?

The WBC already ordered a fight between Lemieux and Rubio for the title eliminator. It should happen in 2011.

That'll be a good gauge of where he is in his development. Should he dominate Rubio like Pavlik did, well then, he is ready to take the step up.

If that fight goes the way I think it'll go, I'm pretty sure the result of this poll would be quite different if we start it over after that fight .

Edit : Oh damn, just remembered the actual WBC champ is Martinez.

I say Lemieux because he'll know a bit about Pirog and he's got a style where he can outbox him.

I see Pirog a bit like Mercer after beating Tommy Morrison, he seems indestructible but surely he can't live up to all this hype after a pretty decent layoff.

Two slightly tested prospects who are on the come up, fighting each other? This is boxing not MMA, quit dreaming.

Lemieux more polished, traditional style...Pirog an awkward puncher and can box a bit. Cant miss for the fans and a loss here in somewhat early development (and known factor) isnt the end at all for defeated. I'll take Pirog.
