Rhodes has no fucking chance!

What has Alvarez got against us Brits? He's just going round beating up all our National level fighters.

One more UK fighter win and he'll be ranked as high as Manny Pac in most people's eyes over here!

I do not agree with you that Rhodes has no shot. I think he has a pretty good one. Alvarez has lots of holes and if Hatton had enough power to crack an egg, he may of had Alvarez in problems on more then one occasion.

I give Rhodes a great shot too depending on how sharp he is, because if I remember rightly he's been fairly inactive as of late so it could hurt him. Anyhow Rhodes has great skills and can bang. He is no walkover for Alvarez

The fight was always going to be in Mexico, Alvarez is the champion and they love him in Mexico.

Fight could be in Rhodes moms front lawn and he still wouldn't have a shot. There's a reason why Rhodes never rose above domestic level. He's not a championship type fighter. He's a domestic level fighter who's about to face the next big thing. And his style is made to order for Alvarez. Rhodes won't move and use the ring like N'dou did. And he won't hold and clinch every time Alvarez gets close like Hatton did. He will come right at Alvarez looking to show he's the man and Alvarez is the boy. And will get absolutely smashed in the process.

Don't get me wrong I like Rhodes, I'd love him to win. But he is going to be fighting someone a class above.

The fact it is in Mexico wont help at all either, Rhodes has fallen down each time he has stepped up and I can't see this being any different.

Rhodes has a good shot against that ginger kid!

Rhodes is a good fight for Alvarez's development. He is probably the best opponent for Alvarez to this point. I believe Rhodes will go out on his shield in an unsuccessful, yet valient effort, in about the 9th round.

I think this is a dangerous fight for Alvarez, Rhodes has a decent dig although you do wonder whether the win over Jamie Moore (who subsequently was found to have all sorts of brain issues) made him look better than he is. You'd certainly say a guy who looked like he wanted no part of Anthony Small is unlikely to scare Alvarez.

Still he's the naturally bigger man & I suspect he may cause him some issues. It's a potentially tricky match-up given where Alvarez currently is. I'm becoming worried about how much praise I'm giving to GBP lately

Like I've said previously, youth and aggression will prevail this time. I wish Rhodes the bestaluck though.
