Thread: Highlights that make boxers look like power punchers: Chris Byrd

Now we all know Chris Byrd was a boxer, and was regarded as a non-puncher. However looking at these highlights in his younger to entering his prime days, you'd assume that along with his defensive skills he was a devastating power puncher. This goes to show how boxing highlights can make a fighter look like a counter punching non hitter and turn him into world destroyer mix of Pacquiao, Mayweather and Whitaker. Nice highlight too of the younger younger stuff he did.




Watching these highlights you'd assume he'd have knocked out Lennox Lewis in devastating fashion

I have so much respect for Byrd. Now that I know he was pretty much just a blown up Cruiserweight, who could still make Light Heavyweight at the end of his career it allows me to see beyond the powder puff power and cutsie tactics and understand that he MUST of had one of the biggest HEARTS in boxing. I mean the guy went 30 plus rounds with the Klitschko's, fought Tua in his prime, Galota, Holyfield... And was 'world' champion for a decent period of time.
For a small cruiserweight, that ain't bad!
