    Default Saturday Boxing trivia

#1. Jack Johnson defended the Heavyweight title he'd won from Tommy Burns in 1908 against James J. Jeffries in 1910 and won by KO. How many rounds was the fight scheduled for? Bonus: What round did the fight end?

#2. Jess Willard won the Heavyweight title from Jack Johnson in 1915, in Havana Cuba. How many rounds was the fight scheduled for? Bonus: What round did the fight end?

#3. Jack Dempsey lost the World Heavyweight title to Gene Tunney in 1926, and the rematch a year later in 1927. The results of both fights were identical, and scheduled for the same number of rounds, how many?

#4 Nearly all of Joe Louis's World Heavyweight title fights were scheduled for 15 rounds, except for three, 1 of the 3 was a scheduled 10 round fight against Jack Roper. How many rounds were the other 2 title fights scheduled for? Bonus: Who were they against?

    Good luck!

    1. 45 and 15?
    2. 45 and 26?
    3. 10 round fights
    4. Oh crap! I suspect he defended twice at 20 rounds. How about Uzcundun and, um, oh crap, Galento?

Good Job Marble, unlike the rest of these bloody cowards, at least you tried.

You got everything right except the round Willard stopped Johnson, which ironically, like Johnson's fight against Jefferies, was also stopped in the 26th round. (I really didn't believe that Jefferies survived that long)

And the 2 pugs Louis faced in the 20 round World HW title fights, were Bob Pastor and Abe Simon, Pastor was dispatched in the 11th, and Simon was stopped in the 13th.

I forgot to mention, had you gotten everything correct, you would have won a brand new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, and $10 million in cash.

    Cheers
