who wins? and how.
The only question for me would be if Taylor could hold on to his wide points lead after he gassed. It would definitely be a compelling fight.
Well I believe B-Hop won both his fights vs Taylor.. That being said I would pick Martinez it would be a good fight.
i always saw taylor as a big middleweight that's why he dominated for quite a while. quite a way to get exposed though.

?
Taylors sharp jab would do some things on Martinez low casual guard. I can see him really getting him off balance a bit and forcing fast pace. In the end though Sergio adjusts, he keeps fluid and gets stronger-sharper as Taylor fades. Gotta go Martinez on the cards.
Martinez's movement would bother a stationary guy like Taylor. Martinez's energy would wear down Taylor, and Taylor's jab wouldn't be that effective against a quick southpaw.
Martinez by clear UD.
I think it would be a good close fight until Taylor begins to gas and Martinez takes the championship rounds and wins a UD.
He Who Is Brave Is Free
Wisdom, compassion and courage are the three universally recognised moral qualities of men.
Taylor beat Hopkins because at 160 at that time B-Hop won all his fights by basically winning 7 out of 5 rounds cleanly. All Taylor did was take the rounds B-Hop took off and contesting the other rounds tooth and nail.
Sergio is smaller, but has better stamina and based off the Spinks fight I think Taylor has a tough time with Martinez.
Taylor vs Paul Williams would be interesting even right now!
I think Taylor may win this because he was a big middleweight and could keep off the smaller Martinez to a points decision.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Martinez by decision, he may have even landed something big to end it late
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Taylor should retire. He really should. He was badly knocked out against Abraham and stopped in a fight he should have won against Froch.
He has no chance against Martinez. I think a peak Taylor could pull it off or certainly give Martinez something to think about. But this Taylor ? It would be like the Pavlik fight were Taylor would have the odd moment of success but eventually be worn down and stopped in about the 8th or 9th rounds
