    Default Sonnen vs Silva 2

    Close decision aside.

I'm excited for this fight I can't wait to see Chael put a beating on Silva again and this time get the win. Looking forward to seeing him with the real strap around his waist instead of the fake one he had a the presser!

    Early pick's?

Chael by decision, some serious ground and pound going on that night!

I'm not confident on last night's showing.

He was very honest in the post fight conference though, saying Bisping nearly had him out in the first round and that he wouldn't have argued if people thought he lost the first two rounds.

I thought they both showed a great deal of respect post fight, and Bisping was a class act as well

Chael is very my favourite fighter but 30-27 was a joke, I thought he needed to stop Bisping to win. Bisping fought a great fight and to me proved that he is capable of mixing it with the best.

Disappointing night of fights overall none of the main event fights really got going.

Hard to say now. I have a lot of questions from the Bisping fight. Mike fought his most complete fight today IMHO. So did Chael not bring his absolute A game? Has Mike raised his to a higher level than many of us thought he had, hence Chael didn't look as dominant? Has Chael dropped off a little bit? There is no question in my mind that Anderson will be better prepared and supremely motivated for this fight. Unless Chael just had an off night against Mike I am leaning towards Anderson. Chael's striking didn't look as crisp as it has in past fights and he was not as dominant on the ground either. Even if Mike has made tremendous strides in his game Chael didn't show the kind of aggression or technique necessary to replicate his sucess in the first fight with the Spider.

Finally an honest respone to that fight! I love both guy's so I was very much neutral when watching it. It became obvious that Bisping had that fight 29-28 that judging was terrible.

There's an easy answer to all this. You just never rated Bisping and you've been proved wrong. He is a top level fighter don't try and say Chael had an off night Bisping just showed what he can do with the best guy's in the division. He fought his ass off give him some respect he is well over due.

I think Bisping looked very good. I think the one thing he lacks is top punching power and a really elite level chin. I just think the most dangerous punching guys will stop him, even if he is winning up until that point. Guys like Belfort for example. I can see Bisping winning a decision if he doesn't get caught, but I can't see him stopping Belfort, yet I can easily see Belfort sparking Bisping out.

Maybe I'm being unfair, he definitely looked good against Chael, although Chael is a definite non puncher...

Chael is also a high level wrestler and look how that turned out for him. You just can't count Bisping out in any fight.

Fuck off Matt. I never rated Bisping a title contender b/c he has never beat a top MW and while he fought well against Chael he still hasn't beat a top MW. I didn't say Chael had an off night. I said unless that was the case I have concerns about him against Silva. Furthermore I did give Bisping credit for fighting a great fign in previous posts. Quit being such whiney bitch. Quit claiming your are the only one that watched the fight objectively. Your boy fought well and lost. End of story.

Both my guys won that night. Looks like your finding it hard to deal with, being proven wrong by Bisping. If you still don't see him as top ten guy then your an idiot. You need to get over your hate for the guy and watch him as a fighter. What a load of shit he hasn't fought a top ten guy. He has fought everyone put in his way and bar Hendo he has not had a convincing loss. You need to get out from under your rock or get rid of your tunnel vision and give him the credit he deserves. Your ignorance is amusing. End of story...

Not really sure how you figure I'm having a hard time dealing with Bisping stepping in with a top contender and losing...much like I said he would. I also never said he wasn't top 10 MW. I just dont consider everyone in the top 10 a legit title contender. Hell Okami is still a top 10 MW but no one considers him a legit title contender. Bisping is a good MW but has yet to prove he has what it take to wear the belt. Every time he has tried to step into the top 3 he has lost and Wandy wasn't exactly a title contender when he beat Mike either. I mean seriously what is his signature win Miller? Leben? He is better than most MWs but not championship material...at least yet. So call it blind hate that keeps me from seeing the true fighter but his record speaks for itself. Seems maybe you got the blinders bro. I don't know why you are getting so pissy anyway. Close fight, he lost and if Dana was as impressed by his performance as he said I'm sure Mike will get marquee matchup in the near future.

Thats simple to answer, he's just a young kid that thinks he's right all the time and everyone else's opinion is wrong if it differs from his

Oh yea, and in answer to the original question, Silva beats Sonnen AGAIN !

Silvas got the upperhand on the stand up
and you gotta remember silva was i think overcoming a shoulder injury? i dont remember, but he was getting over something,
but chael talking so much trash which i love watching haha but hes probably going to underestimate him,
    and get his clock cleaned
Pretty much chael is over confident and i think thats going to happen never know though, anything can happen.
