    Default Did boxiing ?

One week on did boxing really suffer from the Chisora Haye incident, you can't say it did put boxing back on the map for the right or wrong reasons, a week is a long time in boxing the media just the odd snip it.
Damage has been done but the repair's are under way, fights this weekend no incidents no brawls so we
could say normal service has resumed.

Damage done, only if they impose bans or sanctions on del boy.

I love boxing I just hate in inactivity of the top fighters, competing twice a year is no way for a athlete to behave no matter how dangerous the sport.

This incident has caused huge publicity, which means big money, how can you tarnish boxing's reputation, look at Tyson's antics yet he is a favourite boxer of many people myself included.

If there is any ban I would like del boy to have a go at UFC.

I don't get the feigned outrage over this...boxing has always had issues like this, its nothing new. Larry Holmes fucking dropkicked Trevor Berbick. Tyson-Lewis and Lewis-Rahman, had their scuffles.

Haye and Chisora are both classless, but its not exactly out of the ordinary for boxing.

    Agreed.

Also, this story did not get any attention from even the mainstream sports press in the US, much less the mainstream press in general. No one here who's not a boxing fan already has any idea this even happened, so it hasn't had any effect at all on the sport.

Damage is done but it's boxing, a fighting sport, and these brawls happen.

who cares about these guys fighting at a press conference!

after reading and hearing people's reactions you'd think they were clubbing pregnant women and resuscitating them by blowing crack smoke down their throats.

boxing is full of absolute scum. cheaters, liars, murderers. the sport(if you don't know...) is only about watching people damage themselves and each other for your viewing pleasure.

its a disgrace to what? it sends a bad message to whom? shut up people!!!

It is a disgrace to the sport we all love.
It sends a bad message to the youngsters who think they can act a thug and the people that want to ban the sport.

I'm sick of people who want this world to be perfect. It never will be. Actually, the way we go about it makes the world worse. A scuffle is a scuffle, and it should end at that.

They are boxers who have a responsibility to act like role models that they are.

If that was in the street they would be arrested that is why Haye has ran to Las Vegas.

Boxing is like a new ceiling there's always a chance the rain will seep through an undetected leak.
