Thread: Linares/Demarco 2 almost set

Antonio DeMarco-Jorge Linares rematch one step from being set - ESPN

if Linares is a bit more defensive he should win clearly

I like the fact that this is happening, other than that I am gonna pick Linares based on the fact that he should learn from last time.

Awesome rematch between two very solid fighters! I'm going with Demarco in repeat. Think he can start faster and still punch just as sharp.

I hope Linares wins this time, he was a talented fighter.

Denarco got lucky last time but linares will handle him easily this time..

Easy fight for linares..

Hope this is another belter of a fight, just hope Linares can get
the win this time.

It blows me away how easily dismissed Demarco is. That wasn't some single miracle Tate vs Weaver like shot and hard pressed to see Linares being anymore sharp and quality than first go...ecspecially as Demarco hasn't suffered both the physical and psychological tko between the two.

DeMarco comes to fight and bar the Valero fight I have yet to see him at this stage in his career get beat. He's not the most elusive nor the most defensive. But he gets it done.

Would love to see him give Guerrero a good tare up. But that's just wishful thinking.

This thread was posted before Linares lost to Thompson this past Saturday.There's a good chance DeMarco vs Linares doesn't get made now, but if it still does, it doesn't look good for Linares, I believe DeMarco would clown him again.

Demarco never came anywhere near "clowning" him the first time around, it was a great fight and I think the cuts really took Linares out of his element towards the end. I do think he'd be crazy to take the rematch now if it were somehow still on the table, and the fact that he was cut open and hurt so quickly again really look bad for him at the moment. The only plus is that the ref waved it off so quickly he didn't take any real punishment, but who knows how he responds mentally. It looked to me like he was a bit gunshy and worried about being cut before it even happened, not good.

I loved the first fight. Can't see the rematch happening anytime soon after last saturday. Hopefully De Marco lands himself a big fight in the meantime.
