Thread: Sturm vs Zibik from Germany tonight

Who you got in this one , i think this might be the passing of the torch as Sturm is on the slide - BIGTIME.

The title will stay in Germany and im sure that will please the promoters.

IF Zbik can produce the performance that he did vs Chavez Jnr then i think he takes the takes the fight on points in a close contest.

How did yous have it at the time of stoppage??..i had it 88-83 Sturm

Didn't realize this was today thought its tomorrow but my dad caught it live on tv and said sturm looked good. Sturm is so frustrating because he just refuses to take any good fights, altho zbik wasn't half bad at all and did give chavez hell and if chavez didn't outweight him by two weightclasses he woulda beat him...

Yeah Zbik threw beautiful punches in bunches against Chavez and landed tons of head shots. I thought he might have edged it against Chavez but of course Jr. got the decision.

Sturm looked great last night and it shows the gulf in class between him and Chavez Junior.

We thought he may be on the slide after he fights against the Brits but he clealry took them lightly cuz this time he was fighting a German rival at home and he was up for it. It wasnt that Zbik was poor because he came out fast looking good himself but Sturm walked him down, chipped away and got the stoppage.

Best Ive seen Felix in 10 years of watching him

No one else disappointed in Zbik? Didnt go out like a warrior, he didnt leave it all in the ring imo.

I actually completely agree. Sturm impressed me with that win. Not only did he show the gap in class between himself and Junior, but he proved he still is a force in the division.

88-83 Strum is fitter and more active. I think he was going to go to the US but think he will stay in Germany forever and not test himself. He is in the comfort zone.
