Not many things make me angry but this is unreal - Same with the WBC

Threatening people who are involved with the fight to terminate their membership, sending round letters i.e


threateneing people essentially not to touch it with a bargepole

These are the same people who have allowed fights to happen in Dubai and other countries!

WBC didnt mind tyson being a rapist, well aconvicted one anyway etc

Its frankly disgusting just let them get on with it - how dare they talk about ethics etc this is exactly whats wrong with boxing! It doesnt even matter if you think the fight should go ahead - its so inconsistant its pretty much a joke

Their moral stand against Chisora (who is a tosser but not exceptionally so by boxings standards) is particularily weak seeing as they re-licensed that fruit cake Scott Harrison after God knows how many incidents, time in prison and years away from the ring only for him to be on the verge of heading back to the nick a few months later.

I support them on this issue, even with the corrupt WBC backing them. This fight is taking the mickey out of them and they should ban anyone connected to the bout including Warren, who is scared now and writing public letters.

I'm with you, I think its right that the BBBofC should be taking a stand on this front. As for the point about licensing fights in Dubai, I'm pretty sure none of the fighters involved in those countries were banned by the boxing commission in that country.

Like anyone else I think criminals should have the chance to be rehabilitated and to return to their trade. This isn't about the character of the individuals fighting, rather it is about the BBBofC giving a guy a one year ban, and that individual trying to weasel his way around that ban.

They've got no choice but to take these kind of sanctions, otherwise they'll come across as hugely weak and toothless.
